[ It's easy enough to figure out the headset. He even listens to the message and information before he starts throwing a decidedly scruffy, Corellian-sized tantrum about it to whoever is on this thing that will pay attention. ]

Listen, this is General Solo. [ And isn't he glad he can finally pull rank, if there's anyone here he can pull rank on. ] If this is some kind of kriffing joke, it's not funny. But if it's not, then someone needs to tell me what's going on that contaminating carbonite is illegal, not to mention my fault.

[ Not that he'd think someone (one of the Rogues is his first guess) would pull a prank of this magnitude in the middle of a crisis that includes people getting entenched to power droids, but it would be nice if that were the case. Mostly because then he wouldn't really be in prison and could more effectively yell at someone about it. ]

[ it's not a joke. it's not funny. it's not even a good thing that he's here and she ought to be furious with the wardens for bringing him here, but she can't help but feel immensely (selfishly) relieved and grateful for his presence as she makes a mad dash out the door. she could've said something, could've told him to wait there for her or let him know she was here, but replying to him over the network doesn't even occur to her.

no, the only warning han gets is the sound of hurried footsteps and his name on her lips— ] Han! [ —before the princess all but leaps into his arms. ]

Leia? [ It's hard to believe, with her looking like that, and running, and what the kest is going on here? His arms are open when she gets there, and he sways a little with the force of impact. The hug is tight, though, and he's relieved that even though they're apparently in prison she isn't facing Bakura's problem without him. ]

Where's Luke?

[ It's said mostly into her hair (and when the hell did she have time to redo it?) before he looks up and around at the way she came. He half expects to see the kid running along behind her. ]

[ what a weighted question. it makes leia feel a thousand times heavier than she actually is, the weight of it pulling her feet back down to the ground. she slides out of his embrace, keeping her hands on his upper arms as she shakes her head grimly in reply. ]

No. He's— He's gone. [ that would be a clipped answer with anyone else, but with han, it just comes out broken as she makes a valiant effort not to cry.

[ but she doesn't sound so sure. after all, the prison was supposedly virtual and getting "lost" in the dimensional stabilizer was an illusion. once you were here, you were here forever — your mind is just cut off from the rest, and you're left to lie dormant in the pods everyone's' bodies are being housed in. which means luke's still here (technically, somewhere...) just unreachable. a blank, palpable void.
