[It's going to be one of those days. Nico skirts around a layout of multicolored shapes just begging to be matched up by threes on his way to the athletic complex. Maaaybe he'll come back to that later...]

I'm going to be at the athletic center today, if you're still interested. Unless you changed your mind...? That's fine too...

[He ditches the jacket - after a while, it just gets too hot. He found a black bracelet to fit over the red band. It slips a bit when he draws his sword and begins fighting invisible foes, but no one is that observant. He's not putting a lot of effort into his attacks, his movements casual. He is waiting for someone, after all. He doesn't want to waste all his energy before they arrive.]

[Later in the day, he can be found back at the grid of shapes (think Bejeweled or Candy Crush or or or...) arranging shapes in rows of three - or more! More shapes fall into the empty spaces. It's neverending! He could do this all night...]

[ And you can bet he really is making a beeline there. It doesn't take long before he arrives at the athletic center and he's entering the doors looking around for the other teen. Gon perks the moment he spots him and makes his way over, waving.] Nico!

Powers? What are your powers? [Curious Gon is curious]

Mmm....well if use a wooden sword it shouldn't be too bad for me. Or if you want to make your hand-to-hand better, that works too.

The only thing I've ever used as a weapon was my fishing rod...I've never held a sword before. [He raises a hand to scratch the back of his own head, thoughtfully]
This would be easier if I had my Nen though...hmmm

Whoa, really? That's awesome, Nico! [Gon's eyes grow big along with his smile. ] Can you show me sometime?

[He does hope the other teen will agree to do so one day. He's never really seen anyone with an ability like that. Nico just keeps raking in the cool points!]

Whatever you think is best. [With that, Gon raises his arms above his head to stretch. He continues to stretch his arms before moving to his legs.] I'll be fine. Without Nen...getting hit will hurt more but it's nothing I can't handle. I'm pretty quick and I've been knocked around a bit before.

Oh, Nen is aura! It's...hard to explain but Wing-san said it as using your lifeforce or something. With Nen I can really strengthen my hits and defense.

Oh. Um, sure. [Maybe then he can show you how he kills plants in a nice circle radius. Would that be cool too?]

We can play it by ear and change things up if we need to. It's good to be prepared for any kind of situation. [He switches his sword out for a wooden one, balancing the new one in his hand to get a feel for it.]

You ... use your lifeforce to get stronger? [That seems kind of backward.]

	Yeah![Survey says: heck yeah] Sounds good to me! [Gon really doesn't mind either, he's just pleased to be able to fight. His gaze stays on the taller teen, it's hard to judge how strong Nico is. [Nico's been out here training every day he's been able. Sometimes there have been lags. His moods shift. Things happen. He's been trying. He's thin, but there's muscle on those bones. He wouldn't have lasted this long if he couldn't swing his sword with some force.]

Alright. [He grips the sword and takes the first swing, something low and experimental, just to see where they stand.]

[Gon nods, his eyes narrowing a bit but the grin never leaving his face even as Nico moves. He's already set for some kind of strike so when he sees the other teen swing low, his instinct is to jump over it. So he does, but its high enough to where he just misses hitting his head on the ceiling.
Luckily, his hair just scraps the ceiling tile before he drops back down with his right leg extended as to try and land on Nico. Even if the other does move out of the way, he'll be swinging at him with a right hook the moment he lands back on the ground.]

	[That's not normal. He's a little stunned to see Gon jump so far up, but that wears off when he realizes there's a foot coming right down on him. He tucks and rolls out of the way, just in time to get a jab that sends him backwards. He almost loses his sword. Mmhmm. [He nods, not getting what he's implying. If anything Gon thought he did well considering the last time he jump-attacked indoors he really did hit his head]

Is that considered a power?
[He slowly crosses his arms and thoughtfully looks upward] I've trained hard for a long time so I guess I can jump higher and stuff then most people. But if that's consider a power...I'm also fast and pretty strong.

[He looks back to Nico. What constitutes as a power? If anything Gon just considers that his natural ability.]

[ Gon perks a bit at that and nods quickly.]

Yeah, I can do that!

[ He steps over to one of the punching dummys near by and steadies himself as brings back his right fist. Thrusting it forward into the dummy's chest, the thing goes flying across the room and crashing into the nearest wall. There are cracks and a distinct imprint from the dummy in the wall thanks to the impact. But other then that the wall doesn't cave or anything.

Gon doesn't seem too pleased with that but he points to it. Obviously he wasn't trying to hit Nico that hard but he wasn't being gentle with the teen either. They were training after all!] I guess that's the best I can do here.

Speed wise...mmm...I'm not as fast as Killua but... [ This time he turns to Nico. After a moment he kicks off the ground, dashing towards him. But instead of attacking he stops short of colliding with the him and moves around like he's dodging attacks. It's almost like there are multiple Gons.]

[He stops after another second, standing still and looking to Nico. Panting a little. Weird, he really must be rusty.] That's the best I got!

[Nico watches the dummy fly across the room and strike the wall and he winces. His hand immediately finds his ribs and begins searching for breaks. You know, just in case. Holy shit.]

The best, huh... [Does his voice sound a little weak? He feels lucky to be alive right now.

The speed leaves him a little dizzy, since he actually tries to keep up with where Gon is going.] Wow. That's pretty impressive. You're going to be harder to beat than I thought.

[Gon nods quickly! Of course he wants to keep going!]

Yeah! I won't punch you that hard! [Critically injuring Nico is not apart of the plan at all. But Gon doesn't miss a beat as he readies himself.

He waits for a moment to be sure Nico is ready before kicking off the ground and dashing at him. Of course just before he is about to ram face first into Nico he darts towards his side before trying to land another punch.]

[That's ... oddly reassuring. Nico spins his sword, his eyes locked on Gon. He's fought monsters - fast ones, slow ones, flying monsters. Monsters with more than one head. He could handle this!

His swing misses because Gon moves. He's going to have to adjust to that speed. He feels the punch clip his shoulder as he dives into Gon's shadow.

He reappears two feet to the right and kicks where he hopes Gon should be.]

[Just as Gon is sure he's gotten another hit on Nico, he blinks seeing the other practically vanish. The surprise delays his reaction and he feels the kick full force. Skidding back, he holds his side.]

....T-that's so COOL!

[Gon grins wide, eyes big with excitement. Nico has a good kick but whats more impressive was how he moved just then. Gon rubs the spot for a second before charging at Nico again. This time he goes low, practically skidding on the ground as he tries to swipe the other's feet out.]
