Greetings, fellow inmates. [He adjusts his tie before continuing.] I have recently arrived and familiarized myself with the circumstances of this incarceration as presented by the wardens. I have also studied the workings of the communication device. As you can see I have also already taken advantage of one of the shops to provide myself with more suitable attire.

However, this does not create a full understanding of my surroundings or those with whom I will be interacting. I would appreciate any knowledge and advice you might impart. I'm sure you'll have topics you find most interesting and valuable and I will have my own questions. [While his face moves with each syllable it seems as though his expression never varies from the calm, collected, and serious.] I have no currency to repay you for your time or effort, but it seems that any would be useless here. Despite this, I can assure you I resolve my debts.

You have my gratitude and appreciation in advance.

It's very nice to meet you. [ but her smile doesn't show any sort of unease. ] I would say it's fairly high. I suppose it depends on the person you ask, but isn't that true of any prison? No matter how we might feel, it's still a prison.

[ and that might be the counselor in her. so, let's just water that down a little. ]

All told, it isn't a terrible place in day-to-day occurrences and as far as I can tell most people are happy enough. Or at least they can tolerate being here.

[ again with the prison still being a prison thing. ]

I don't know if there is any value in a prison that holds people unfairly.

[ aka the justice system here needs work. a lot of work. ]

But as far as prisons go, I don't believe it's the worst out there. They let us set our own schedules and do as we please provided that we don't break the rules.

[ a small smile crosses her face. ] So I suppose my suggestion is to keep the rules in mind while you're here.
