Day 296 [Voice | Open]
Hello, everyone. I know it's dark and we're all worried about what's going on, but it's getting later and maybe it would help if we took a minute to just relax and talk to each other.

I had an idea. People tell stories around campfires, right? I'm not sure how many people have tried building one today, but even if you haven't I think we could still tell the stories. And maybe it would be more fun if we take turns and just see where the story goes. I can start and then just jump in and we can make lots of different stories together or lots of people can add to a couple of stories. Whatever feels right. And please feel free to make things up with each other too.

Ah, let's see, it should probably start with, Once upon a time there was bright and and sunny land full of wonders.

But then a giant stole sun and everything went dark.

[Nico's found a place to sit still and not trip on things. He's found a small flashlight, and that helps.]

[She smiles even if no one can see it.]

Everyone was scared and upset at first, but they knew what they had to do.

[Oh, she wasn't turned off by his sarcastic reply. He wasn't sure what to do with that. Also, he sucked at this. Greek. Hades. He wasn't very well versed in happy endings.]

Theeeey gathered their supplies and weapons and went on a quest to find the giant.

[It doesn't have to end happily, but those are the best kinds of stories, aren't they?]

There were many brave soldiers on the quest, but a younger boy and girl and both insisted on going with them. They were told no, so they hid themselves on one of the supply wagons under a blanket.

[Are they?]

Unknown to everyone, the boy and girl had special gifts. They were both stronger and more powerful than they appeared.

[Of course!]

They had kept their gifts hidden from everyone but each other for as long as they could remember, but they knew if they could use them to help others they had to take the risk.

After many days and nights of travel, the army came to the giant's domain - a great mountain. At the mouth of a cave, they made camp and prepared to attack in the morning.

The boy and girl had to keep themselves hidden, but the smell of food over the campfire was making them very hungry since what they had brought had already run out even with careful rationing.
