[Jack appears on-screen in the dojo in the Sector 1 Athletics Complex, looking oddly energised and restless.]

So, I find myself really geared up for a little sparring. Anyone fancy joining me for a bit of a work-out?

((OOC: I am *really* not good at describing fights of any kind (my brain just refuses to be interested) so I'm mostly just looking to gloss over any actual fighting. This post is more about emphasising how aggressive Jack's got lately due to the red pearl in his pocket, so feel free to have your character comment on that rather than/as well as offering themselves as a sparring partner.))

Hello sweetheart. [It's dry, and pretty much sparkling with tightly restrained dislike. Once upon a time, he'd thought he could like this woman, but times have changed. He ambles towards her, ready for sparring in his t-shirt and trousers, feet bare. His boots and outer clothes like in a neat pile in one corner.]

I hear you've been spreading insidious stories about me.

You made a public network post about it. And within that you told at least two people I attacked Spike without provocation. Apparently him going on a spree hurting innocent people and putting one of my friends in hospital doesn't count as provocation!

I attacked him to stop him hurting anyone else. He'd attacked me, and then my boyfriend, and I hadn't done anything except make a few threats - and because I hadn't done anything, he then went and attacked a load more people. I decided I needed to speak to him in a language he understood.

[He gives her a tight, tense smile.] And okay, there was some anger there too. I'm only human. Anger, and guilt, that people had got hurt because I hadn't dealt with the problem effectively before. That's why I went for him with the baseball bat. But I didn't load my gun with wooden bullets and kill him outright, because I wanted to give him a chance to stop him being a danger without killing him, by restoring his soul. [He folds his arms.] I still stand by that decision.

Did you ever stop to think that threatening him would only incite Spike to do more damage? He was angry too. Still is, after what happened.

[She is angry as well, but it's below the surface. Rose wasn't human and yet she was capable of feeling emotion, emotions that were often heightened because of what she was.]

Forcing his soul upon him is not without its consequences, Jack. You didn't give Spike a choice in the matter when you decided to do that to him. Meddling with magic that you didn't fully understand- it could have even worse repercussions.
