Day 283 / Video / Open
[Jack appears on-screen in the dojo in the Sector 1 Athletics Complex, looking oddly energised and restless.]

So, I find myself really geared up for a little sparring. Anyone fancy joining me for a bit of a work-out?

((OOC: I am *really* not good at describing fights of any kind (my brain just refuses to be interested) so I'm mostly just looking to gloss over any actual fighting. This post is more about emphasising how aggressive Jack's got lately due to the red pearl in his pocket, so feel free to have your character comment on that rather than/as well as offering themselves as a sparring partner.))

[It takes Jack a few minutes to remember the other man's name too, but the adrenaline surging through his veins reminds him of another time, when he rode behind him on a horse named Serenity and helped him fight off raptors. Mal, that's it. Seems like the sort of guy who really won't mind getting hit.

When Mal arrives, he greets him with a wide smile. He's stripped down to his t-shirt and trousers, feet bare, bouncing a little on his toes. There's blood in places on his t-shirt, but no sign of any injuries that might be affecting him.]

Mal! Glad you could make it!

Mal walks in with a grin on his face.

"Wouldn't miss it for the world," he grins, bending over to unlace his boots. It wouldn't do to just stomp on the other man's foot now. And he might as well take off the suspenders too. They'd just make it easier for Jack to grab onto him.

"Looks like you already got started," he adds, nodding to the bloodstains while he rolls up his sleeves. He doesn't see any wounds that would have dripped, but maybe they're from the other person. He doesn't care too much. He's just ready to do some damage. Let go of some of this angry energy that's been around for way too long.

"You weren't the first response to my request, no," Jack shrugs, grinning faintly, and leaves it at that. He has no real desire to bring Rose into this. This feels different from Rose, or even from brawling with Spike. He doesn't really know Mal, so there are no pent-up feelings getting in the way. This can be what he feels he really needs: a simple fight, pure release of aggression for no reason than that they both need it.

He watches Mal prepare, feeling a fresh round of anticipation at the propsect of this. "Glad you came along, though. I really feel the need for more!"

"I've been itchin' for a fight for days now," Mal says with a shrug, not really caring that Jack had fought with anyone before. It just meant he was tired hopefully which would give Mal an advantage. "Jus' glad to hear someone else wants it too."

He turns finally shirtless and barefoot. There's a definite scar from a gunshot wound to his belly visible, but other than that he's fit and hale. He remembers Jack now... the one he saved from the dinosaurs on Serenity.

"Yeah, me too," Jack agrees, with a faint frown because perhaps there's something there that he ought to be investigating, but he shrugs it off, far more interested in getting on with the fight. He eyes the scar on Mal's belly with interest, but it's obviously long-healed so unlikely to be an obstacle to being able to get down and dirty with this.

"Ready?" he asks, grinning, bouncing again, raring to go.

[A few lessons with Black Canary definitely didn't count as superbly trained, even if the woman could take down Batman himself. Then again, if she were allowed to use magic during the fight....]

What about Ianto? Doesn't he usually help you with things?

[She actually doesn't even mean just sex; she'd seen the two of them. Ianto was hardly out of shape, either.]

[By which he means he didn't actually ask him. He wanted to hit someone he doesn't care about. Wanted to hurt - but he doesn't want to hurt Ianto.

He flashes her a bright grin - possibly a little too bright, actually. There's something the teeniest bit wild about his eyes.]

Don't worry, though. I'm sure a good brawl with Mal will set me right!
