[ Sooner or later, you run out of patience. You grow bored, antsy, you find yourself pacing like a wild animal in a cage, yearning desperately for something to happen just to break the monotony and sure, spending a day with lungs full of air and a heart full of beating was fun but not enough to even begin to ease that itch. The demon in your chest is clawing against ribs, screaming for blood, for fire and death and chaos. For the good old days. For something — anything — that makes you feel alive despite being a walking corpse.

He's got his body back. The chip has been out for ages and he finally retrieved his signature coat, Nikki Wood's coat, the very thing that reminds him of past glory, of the road taken to get this far. William the Bloody, Spike, the Slayer of Slayers. One step away from becoming a living (well) legend and now he's stuck here, chained like a dog in the backyard with the threat of a besoulment hanging over him like a guillotine. He's not going to take that lying down. He's not just going to wait, not when there's blood to spill.

It's late when he hits the streets of MarinaNova Asylum, dark shadows lending a perfect cover as he stalks through the sectors. Hunting. He will not go through this quietly. ]

((ooc: open to actions of many varieties, tho I'm definitely looking for victims. Successful and unsuccessful attacks all welcome. [ unlike some of his other catches of the night, this one doesn't take it easily. His hand lands on her shoulder and she reacts out of pure instinct. He may be able to place that hand over her mouth, but she still aims an elbow for his stomach so she can turn and attempt to give a strong shove to push him away. Should this work or not, she isn't going to just stand there.

And to her credit, she had not made a sound, not even a grunt. ]

[ It works, but perhaps not to the degree she's hoping. The elbow connects and so does the push but most of all it just serves to piss him off, making him all the more determined to take a chunk out of her. In a shift of bones and skin he lets his demonic features come to the surface, a feral growl vibrating deep in his throat as he bears his fangs and tries to wrestle her into submission. ]

[ she isn't frightened in the least, not even at the sound of the shift. He might be a little stronger than she is, but she's no pushover, either. She aims one of her fists at his face, hoping to distract him long enough so she can turn to face him. She'll have better luck that way.

Either way, he's getting a fist to the face and a kick to his shin or somewhere less fortunate, whichever she can manage quickest. ]

	[ When he's ready for a fight, Spike is one tough guy to beat but he isn't expecting his dinner to struggle as much as she does and that fist clocks him squarely in the nose. He may be used to getting knocked around but that doesn't mean it hurts any less — with a pained snarl, he loosens his grip enough for her to turn. ] (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

[ she does turn, so she can see who it is attacking her, breathing hard and eyes wide as she realizes ] Bloody hell. Vampire.

[ okay, so she's guessing by the looks of it, but that doesn't bode well and without letting it go much longer, she turns to run. She can't outrun him, but she's looking to find something to use or a place to climb up to get some leverage. ]

[ so in her world, buffyverse and the like might have been propaganda made by the vampire race to throw people off what real vampires are like and she might not have been paying perfect attention to him before she ran off, but still. She knows well enough to understand how to fight them. It won't be her first time outsmarting a vampire bent on using her as an eternal canteen. Too bad she can't blow this one up here.

That doesn't mean she won't duck into a building she knows has at least two exits and try to slam the door in his face. ]

	[ Doors, his one true weakness! Okay, that's not true but it does slow him down significantly, especially since he's not stopping in time to keep himself from slamming into that door. [ she's quiet inside, but not completely silent. it's just enough to give her an edge in sneaking away and she's very careful as she moves through the shadows towards that back door. she should reach it first and once she does, she'll make a break for it. she knows the door trick will only work once and so she won't even try it this time, intending to slip out and dart off towards her apartment with the hope that his kind is the more traditional kind.

the ones she knows in her world can and will break in uninvited. if he can do that, too, it'll spell more than a little trouble for all of them. ]

	[ Luckily for him, vampires come with an extraordinary sense of hearing as well as night vision so picking up her trail isn't all that difficult and before long he's bolting through the corridors, determined to catch up. ] Didn't think it'd be that easy, did you?
