[ Sooner or later, you run out of patience. You grow bored, antsy, you find yourself pacing like a wild animal in a cage, yearning desperately for something to happen just to break the monotony and sure, spending a day with lungs full of air and a heart full of beating was fun but not enough to even begin to ease that itch. The demon in your chest is clawing against ribs, screaming for blood, for fire and death and chaos. For the good old days. For something — anything — that makes you feel alive despite being a walking corpse.

He's got his body back. The chip has been out for ages and he finally retrieved his signature coat, Nikki Wood's coat, the very thing that reminds him of past glory, of the road taken to get this far. William the Bloody, Spike, the Slayer of Slayers. One step away from becoming a living (well) legend and now he's stuck here, chained like a dog in the backyard with the threat of a besoulment hanging over him like a guillotine. He's not going to take that lying down. He's not just going to wait, not when there's blood to spill.

It's late when he hits the streets of MarinaNova Asylum, dark shadows lending a perfect cover as he stalks through the sectors. Hunting. He will not go through this quietly. ]

((ooc: open to actions of many varieties, tho I'm definitely looking for victims. Successful and unsuccessful attacks all welcome. Please remember any hospitalization comes with an injury punishment AND an assault charge for Spike, so let me know if your character ends up in the hospital! ))

[Between all his eccentricities and sarcastic comments it's very easy to forget Phanan is a fairly dangerous person himself. Sure he's not expecting to get pounced on and goes down when the vampire comes flying out of the shadows like a bleached hawk-bat but he's able to pivot as he's hit and roll away and onto his feet rather than getting trapped under Spike. He aims a kick at his assailant. It's nowhere near as fast or as powerful as his attacker but the leg is metal and he might not be expecting to get hit with that, if it connects at all.]

[ Whoop. Didn't expect that and the surprise of actually coming across someone who fights back with that level of skill is enough to throw him off. The kick connects solidly and since being a vampire doesn't make you impervious to pain there's a growl to go with it. ]

Sonnova-! [ Feral yellow eyes narrowing into slits, Spike pulls himself together with a growl before attacking again. You're in for a world of pain, buddy. ]

Was I not supposed to hit you? Was that a flying hug and I'm misreading the situation?

[Phanan actually knows who Spike is because he talked to him on bodyswap day. Or rather, he talked to the guy who got switched with him and right now he's very glad Jack gave him a rundown on vampire powers. He should probably send a thank you card.

His current plan is trying not to get pinned down by somebody faster and stronger than him and then improvise an amazing escape. It's a work in progress. Last time he got jumped like this he killed the attacker with medical equipment which he unfortunately does not have on him at the moment. Maybe things would be going better for him if he did have that laser scalpel because even dodging and throwing another punch he still gets knocked back by the attack.]

	Oh no, if you want to make this more painful on you, be my guest. [ Connecting attacks are great but they're not good for much if there's no bloodshed at the end. [He succeeds in knocking Phanan over again, who lands on his back just in time to see those teeth heading in the general direction of his neck. He doesn't have time to roll away or try and wiggle out from under him but he does get his right hand and wrist in between him and the vampire so he bites down on it instead of his throat. There's a shower of sparks and a yelp from Ton as Spike ends up with a mouthful of wires he was most likely not expecting.]

[And Ton is back on his feet, smirking with a confidence he does not feel as he starts trying to bluff his way out of this situation. His hand is spasming in a very non human way, pinky and ring finger twitching far more rapidly than they should be able to. A few more sparks jump from his wrist and the artificial skin is crawling in a rather sickening manner. Also it hurts but he's ignoring that for right now.]

The kind of freak vampires should know better than to chomp. That's why you ask before you bite somebody. You know, hi, how are you, is your body mechanical and bad for my teeth? That sort of thing.

	[Its easy to upset Phanan about his appearance unless you happen to be attacking him in which case he's not going to take comments too seriously. Anyway he's busy hopping back out of reach of that punch.] It's also worth pointing out I don't have much blood. I feel like I'm sort of a silly attack choice all around. [Phanan is in no position to be in a fight right now. His right hand is still twitching uncontrollably, leaving it useless in a situation like this. It's his dominant hand as well so he isn't bothering with punches, just dodging or blocking what he can with the occasional kick thrown in to try and keep Spike back just a bit. Another punch sneaks by to catch him on the jaw, and although it rocks him back it doesn't shut him up.]

Couldn't you collect coins or take up knitting or something if you need a hobby?

[Another blow connects, this time with his ribs, knocking the wind out of him. It takes him a minute to get his breath back, then he keeps right on talking. Maybe if he's really annoying the vampire will go away.]

Actually I feel like it would probably provide you with some much needed calm and relaxation.

[The next blow sends him back a few more paces but he finally spots something he can use to his advantage - namely a tree lining the sidewalk. He yanks a smaller branch off, leaving himself with an awkward leaf covered stake.]

Again, I have to question if I'm worth all this trouble.

[ Unfortunately, around this guy annoying is usually a good way to get a broken neck. Of course, for that to happen he needs to get closer and if it's one thing Phanan seems to be good at right now it's that. Frustrating, really.

The stake, as crude as it is, brings him pause. This guy knows what he is and clearly the most popular way to kill him. ]

Aw, don't think so lowly of yourself. I've snapped more useless necks in my day.

	[A shrug.] I'm pretty sturdy. I think I can get at least one blow to the heart in between the neck snapping and the dying. Gets you out of the picture and not biting other people so I figure that's a pretty fair trade. Also this is the part where even though I'm being sarcastic I am very much not bluffing.
