Hello, everyone!

[Behold, a wild Neil appears! Looking vaguely bemused, but all in all cheerful.]

It’s been ages since I had to introduce myself like this-- I’m out of practice. My name is Neil. I got here a few days ago, with my friend Todd. We came here from a place called the City, which was a little like this-- most of the people living there came from different worlds, or at least a lot of us did.

[He pauses, all too aware that this sounds a little nuts, but hey. It would've sounded crazier if they'd ended up in a proper self-contained universe, right?]

And things like yesterday-- with all those little furry things-- would happen every couple of days, too. Or other kinds of... Well, we called them curses, though I don't think you have anything exactly like it. But, I guess, we're used to strange things.

[And he smiles brightly.]

Anyway. I was speaking to the-- to one of the Wardens, yesterday morning, and she suggested I ought to get involved in some activities here.

[Because Neil wants his stuff back. His books, how is he supposed to get by without the few ones he packed?]

So I thought I'd introduce myself, and ask for some suggestions. Where should I start?

Yeah? What kind of lessons did you take?

Oh, I don't know, all kinds of things. Fencing-- mostly for stage fighting-- and Kate tried to teach us archery once, but I wasn't that good. And flying on a broomstick, not that it's any good without the broomsticks.

I can definitely say that I've never taken any lessons like that. The last one sounds a bit Harry Potter-ish. [She's a little amused.] How good were you at fencing? Maybe you could set something like that up.

I don't think I know him.

[Though the name is familiar. Given it was Ginny's broom, that makes sense. The books won't be written for a handful decades more at home.]

I wasn't great at fencing-- like I said it was mostly for stage fighting, though it was fun. Otherwise, I guess I mostly just read... There wasn't really a school in the City or anything. Not regularly. People came and went, I think some tried to start classes, but it never really took off while we were there.

I guess not everyone does.

[ Harry only existed in books in her world but she could imagine that somewhere out there, in another universe, he actually did exist.]

That's a shame. The classes here are great and people seem to like them. How about a literary class? Or like a book club? People could write reviews or discuss them in a group. I don't know how popular it would be but it couldn't hurt to try, right?

Or poetry. A poetry club.

[A society, one might say. Neil's grinning at the prospect.]

Now there's an idea.

[Bonnie smiles at him in return.]

Did you do that before?
