DAY 265 ✯ OPEN VOICE.
I would advise against interacting with the Polygeminus grex that have infiltrated the prison population. They are non-sentient lifeforms from a relatively uninhabited planet in the Beta Quadrant. On their homeworld, their numbers are controlled by a number of natural predatory species they are the primary food source for, but without their being prey, their numbers will expand. Polygeminus grex reproduces asexually; they are born pregnant and can bear an average litter of ten every twelve hours. If they are allowed to persist with uncontrolled breeding patterns, then we will likely have a population well into the thousands by the end of the day — millions by the end of the week.

Seeing as the wardens do not appear to be taking the proper measures needed to control the Polygeminus rex population, risking punishment in an effort to do so ourselves is preferable to not doing anything at all.
