[ Charlotte is looking slightly worse for wear this fine day, part of her head covered in a bandage and eyes lacking the luster of a good nights sleep. She's contemplative, idly picking at the remnants of a pie on her plate (pear and gruyere, what else?). ]

You know, I was thinking... this is the first time I live on my own. I went from living with my dad to living with my aunts and then Ned. I've never really been on my own like this before... and that was fine, until yesterday. Not that yesterday was as bad as it could've been of course, but it still brings you pause.

How many of us live alone here? It seems like it'd be nice to have a roommate, someone who'll notice if you get eaten by a dinosaur or disappear or... you know. Lots of stuff could happen.

I could be, if you were interested. Kinda have to warn you - I've never exactly had roommates, so it'll be a learning curve. [Not long-term ones, anyhow. Bart's so used to running that the idea of settling down had never occurred to him.]

Some of the best things in life involve a learning curve. [ Smiling! ] It wouldn't be the first time I live with a guy... though last time it was my boyfriend, so I guess that's different. Then again we spent most of our time trying not to create touchy disasters in the hall so maybe this will be easier.

As long as we have a system in place regarding the bathroom, I think it'll work out just fine.

Definitely easier. I mean, I'm a touchy-feely guy, but I'm no Ned, so... as long as you tell me how you want bathroom things to go, I'll follow it to a T.

[He means it! Bart would do almost anything to keep those pies coming.]

[ She never realized just how powerful pie is until she started dishing it out here. Wowza. ]

Then I'd say we have an agreement! Just a matter of settling who moves in where, I suppose.

It'd probably be better if I moved. My current place's a 1-bedroom, and even then, it's kind of tiny. [Except for the pantry. Someone might prioritize food above almost everything...]

That's fine — I have an extra bedroom I'm not using. I guess I should go clear some space in the bathroom though.

[ Really the best roomie situation ever. She'll never have to worry about leftovers going bad ever again! ]

That'd be awesome. Either way, I'm pretty good about not taking up much space. [Or you know, just cleaning things up fast!]

When do you want me to start moving in? Today?

Sure, why not! No point in waiting, is there? I'm at- [ Insert apartment number in sector 4 here. ]
