helen magnus, m.d. d.t.c.x.b. ([info]lifelines) wrote in [info]marinanova,
[clinic]
[ helen had been in the clinic sparingly for a while there, mostly due to what had been going on with jean-luc and her inability to properly deal with that. when she did come in, she'd looked as though she'd been one step too close to losing control and so she'd buried herself in her work and stayed as buried as she possibly could be.

now, when she steps into the clinic, she looks as put-together as always, and though she's not 100% back to normal, she looks at least a little better than she did. she's still emotionally raw, made worse by the fact that she's well aware of the date and how close it is to another one she's been trying not think about, and it shows. obviously, sleep has not come easy for her and long hours have been the norm for at least a few days.

when she sees martha, after breezing into the clinic like a woman on a mission, she pauses only long enough to give a nod and a murmur of greeting -- which is odd enough, as she's normally more open and social than that -- before she's making her way to the back for something to do. paperwork. there's always paperwork. ]
