He's probably covered in blood at this point from the bleeds and tears. The blood tears do make everything look a little more macabre than normal, human tears would. He bows his head, making it a bit easier for her to get some of the blood off his face. He smirks at her words. ]

Just that he's not comfortable, that it takes something unusual to bring that guy out and that it goes against his nature. She's right, Eric doesn't get close to people easily and he doesn't let them get close easily either, especially not as close as Sookie got. This would be an excellent example of why he tries to keep his distance. Letting people in makes one vulnerable in more ways than one. ]
