[ He's sure of it now. Not that it matters — not that he cares — but the Dome does seem particularly Scoobie free. Buffy's gone and she took the lit'le bit and that mangy mutt with her. Sam's been missing even longer and with that he's plum out of moral influence. It's a relief in a way. It allows him to not think so hard about that sad flicker of a soul he's got somewhere out there in the world. It's freedom but just as much abandonment. Angel's come and gone and now the last sliver of familiarity disappeared. The last man standing from Sunnydale and he has to wonder... did they find a way home?

Did he get left behind?

It's not something to dwell on in any case. Not when there's hunting to be done and without a Slayer in the dome, who's to stop him? Eric, the great big hypocrite? The Wardens? He'd love to see them try. But first... a few stiff drinks at the Rusty Spoon, formerly known as Merlotte's. For old times sake. ]

((ooc: Available at the bar or skulking around outside somewhere, if you want a meeting that doesn't involve ridiculous amounts of alcohol! ))

[ Oh boy does he ever. This isn't even his first time in the big house. ]

Pretty much. We get a fresh load every few days or so and then they trickle off lit'le by lit'le. Keeps things interesting.

Trickle off?

[Now he has her full attention, so much that she actually turns on her seat so she can have a better look at him.] You mean people actually leave? They are not stuck here forever?

Wouldn't be so sure about the leaving... but yeah, people disappear. Lost in the dimensional stabilizer, the Wardens call it.

Lost? So... they don't know what happens to them? They don't go home? Even those who are innocent and who shouldn't be here?

Innocent... [ Scoff. ] Like there's anyone 'round here that's innocent. And how the hell should I know? Word is that no one leaves but... who knows?

They're gone either way.

I don't know, you look like you've been here for a while. And I can assure you that there are people here who don't belong in a prison.

[She is ready for an argument if he wants to have one. She is very much protective of Bart and if there's a way to send someone back home, she plans on doing it.]

Seeing as I'm still here, I can't very well know what happens when someone leaves, can I? As for the innocents, there is no such thing. Sure, a lot of you whine for mummy and claim that you never did hurt a fly... but that's not entirely true, is it?

[ Gosh, does he ever love an argument. Aimless provocation is the best way to kill time. ]

Some people might not be saints but they don't deserve to spend the rest of their lives in a prison. [She usually doesn't bother with them unless she really needs to prove a point, but she doesn't feel like backing down right now. Something about this guy's smugness.]

On top of that, some of the people who are here spent their lives saving the lives of others back home. The small things they might have done does not outweigh all the good they do day after day. [Night after night to be specific but she rather not expose anyone.]

[ He listens with a faint smirk. It's all very familiar, the same gibberish spouted by all newcomers until they settle in and get too busy shagging or planting flowers to remember to be indignified. It's not that he disagrees completely — there are definitely some people here that shouldn't be — but he wouldn't be a very good baddie if he let that one slip. ]

I helped stop the Apocalypse back home and you don't see me complaining now, do you? Talk about saving lives, that's saving the entire world as we know it.

[ Never mind that he pissed off before the deal was sealed. ]

[She can't help but wonder if he somehow knows her. If Bart mentioned her or something but somehow he doesn't seem to be the kind of guy who would pay that much attention to anyone else.]

I have helped stop the destruction of Earth where I'm from. That doesn't negate the wrong I've done because they were not small mistakes or accidents. I knew what I was doing. Again, that is not the case with everyone here.

[ She's only half-right. Spike does pay attention, especially when it can somehow benefit him... or like now, when he's bored. Perceptive like all hell, more so than anyone really gives him credit for and it is so much fun to poke and prod where he doesn't belong. Even more so now without Buffy around to antagonize. ]

And who is it that you'd rather see safely tucked into their bed back home, then?

Do you know everyone who is here? I don't think there's much of a point to being that specific.

[Specially considering there's a good chance he does know Bart since he's the social butterfly of their group and well, everyone she's talked to so far seems to know him.]

[She narrows her eyes and considers him for a moment then shrugs. It wouldn't be news for Bart to find out she's protective of him.]

Bart. You don't seem like a social kind of guy.

[ Bart. He doesn't know him, but he'll certainly keep an eye out now. You never know. ] Really now. What kind of guy do I seem like, then?

I don't know. More like the kind of guy who rather focus on himself and only really have social interactions if he can benefit from them? Or if he's bored.

[She's guessing and she knows she's being rude this guy reminds her of someone she just can't quite place and he's rubbing her off the wrong way.]

Please... why would I do that? I'm hurt. [ Theatrically putting a hand on his heart, as if he's getting the vapours. Nailed it in one though. Nice job. ]
