[ He's sure of it now. Not that it matters — not that he cares — but the Dome does seem particularly Scoobie free. Buffy's gone and she took the lit'le bit and that mangy mutt with her. Sam's been missing even longer and with that he's plum out of moral influence. It's a relief in a way. It allows him to not think so hard about that sad flicker of a soul he's got somewhere out there in the world. It's freedom but just as much abandonment. Angel's come and gone and now the last sliver of familiarity disappeared. The last man standing from Sunnydale and he has to wonder... did they find a way home?

Did he get left behind?

It's not something to dwell on in any case. Not when there's hunting to be done and without a Slayer in the dome, who's to stop him? Eric, the great big hypocrite? The Wardens? He'd love to see them try. But first... a few stiff drinks at the Rusty Spoon, formerly known as Merlotte's. For old times sake. ]

[ Despite the rather vicious mood he's finding himself in tonight, Spike's pretty happy to see Garcia. She's fun. She's easy. She slit her wrist for him that one time and that is a gesture that will not be forgotten anytime soon.

Especially not if he can exploit it. He gives a nod and raises his (sadly) robot-poured glass of whiskey. ]

	I gotcha! Even when I worked like a million hours a week back home I had to have my playtime or bad things might happen. [She plops into a seat and orders a beer -- why not? Sadly, no awesome breakout attempts are imminent, at least on my end. Trying to wrangle this place's code is like getting blood from a stone, if you'll excuse the blood analogy.

So I've decided to take a tiny break from running myself into the ground and see if inspiration strikes. All work and no play makes Penelope a lot less useful. Maybe it's finally time to consider that meaningless fling.

Indeed. I've done dark and brooding, it ain't my bag. I'm way more the loud and colorful type. [She's getting a little different vibe from Spike tonight, but hey. Maybe it's just a different favor of good mood.]

No worries, I don't know how serious I really am. It's probably more apt to soothe old wounds if I don't force it, anyway. But hey, if you find anyone it would be criminal not to hit on...

Speaking of, how's your gal? I talked to her a bit, by the bye. Is badass-sweetheart a word? Because that's the one I'd use.

Lookit you, being all comforting and wonderful! [She wasn't actually upset, but it's still adorable okay] I guess my inferiority complex is showing a little. I'm more used to it than I was, but it's just weird being one of what feels like a tiny minority of plain ole non-special humans. Not that I didn't have a teeny tiny complex just in my regular life, if we're honest.

But it's really fine. I just can't help but feel like man, I could be so much more useful around here if I could leap tall buildings in a single bound or something. [Since her hacking prowess has resulted in precisely squat.] I'll have to rely on my keen fashion sense to set me apart.
