[ Too bad no one invented smello-vision, or this transmission would be a whole lot more attention catching. Charlotte lets the camera pan over her kitchen table that is practically overladen with an assortment of pies: full size and cup, three-plum and pear with gruyere. Maybe she got some of Ned's stress baking or maybe prison life is just a little too boring today. ]

So... I think I went just a little bit overboard. I was supposed to bake some pies for a friend, but I guess she's not here anymore... at least, I haven't seen her around. [ A quiet thought to Dawn, one of her first friends and also the first to go. ] Either way, I have a lot more pie than I need.

Anyone want a slice? I'm in Apartment [ Number ] in Sector 4. I'll keep the door open — just follow the smell!

See, that's what I told Ned and it still took forever before he agreed to put them on the menu!

Did they become popular? Cause if they did, I'm pretty sure they could be popular here.

They stayed on the menu so yeah, I guess they were popular! Sometimes you just need a pie all to yourself, you know?

Exactly. It's like having one cupcake instead of a whole cake. [ Kind of made her think about her grandmother and what she baked. ]

I used to bake when I was younger but not so much anymore. Guess I fell out of it.

Oh, maybe we should bake together sometime then? It's not as fun on your own, anyway.

That sounds like a great idea. We can arrange something for whenever we are both free. I'd like that a lot.

It'd be a good way to kill time, that's for sure. Although... if we do, we should probably arrange for some people to come over.

Oh yeah, definitely. Having a group would be a lot better than just a few. Make it like a party or something.

A pie party. I like the sound of that!

I think most people wouldn't be against the idea.

Then it's settled! We'll arrange something soon — do you think everyone's recovered from the costume party yet?

Hopefully. I mean, I think a lot of people here do enjoy a good party now and again. It doesn't have to be a huge thing.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Pies and coffee, we don't really need anything else. [ Little smile. ] It's pretty fun. I never got to go out and meet people like this back home.

You didn't? That's a shame. My friends and I practically made it our mission to be at every social event of the year. [ Well, Caroline really pushed for it. ] At least you can make up for it now. You never know, if it's successful, it could become a regular thing.

[ A hum and a nod. That does sound good. She has a lot of catching up to do. ]

I was homeschooled so there wasn't that many chances for socialising... and after I quit school, I stayed home to take care of my aunts. It's kind of nice to be around so many people, actually!

Homeschooled; I always wondered what that would be like. I'm still at highschool back home and I'm gonna be graduating soon. [ Provided she got home of course. ]

You lived with your aunts back home? It's just me and my dad.

I did — I never knew my mom and my dad died when I was eight. After that, I lived with my aunts. Just the three of us.

It was nice.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. My mom left us but I have seen her since and I think we've managed to reconcile.

[There are a whole lot more to the story but she's not getting into it right now.]

I spent a lot of time with my Grams too. She passed away over a year ago.

I'm so sorry... it's never easy, losing family. [ Quietly. Despite being the one who died, she lost the most that day. It's been so hard to watch and know that you can't go back home. ]

It isn't. You can try to be prepared for it but I really don't think that works. [ Bonnie is just as quiet, understanding the pain she's gone through, knowing that it always seemed to stay with you no matter how much time has passed. ]

[ A sad little sigh. This is not a subject she cares to linger on. Not with what she'd just found out back home. ]

So... how about that pie?
