[On your tv station -- KORRA'S COOKING SHOW!!!!

Korra's standing in a tv kitchen, wearing a frilly, colorful apron and looking Not Happy At All. She'd been really, really nervous about cooking in front of a camera (she doesn't cook, and she's really uncomfortable with public speaking), but after the argument she had with Asami yesterday, there's no room for that anymore. She's just cranky.]

Welcome to Cooking with Korra. [Her stilted delivery makes it clear she's reading off of a prompter -- in this case, Asami holding up giant index cards off-screen.) Today I am going to show you how to make a recipe from my home -- fry bread. Pieces of fry bread will be available in Sector 4 at the conclusion of the program. [At least she's taking care of two punishments in one with this.]

Uh, to start off, you'll need flour, baking soda, and -- this is stupid. [She shoves the ingredients away from her as though physically disgusted, and rips off her apron.] I'm not going to accept a punishment when I didn't do anything wrong!

[She's glaring off camera, and it's pretty clear that she's not just talking about the "crimes" the Wardens are punishing her for.]

[Both Asami and Korra are at the tv station in Sector 4, should anyone be foolish enough to want to talk to either of them right now.]

	Apparently, we're scrapping the cooking thing. Seems to have disappointed a lot of people. [Not to mention not counting as fulfilling the punishments that SOMEONE keeps incurring because she has impulse control issues, Asami pointedly does not say.] (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Yeah, you've gotta make sure the dough's got enough time to rise. [Headtilt.] Unless it's some kind of flatbread?

[Either way, he's starving. Bart grabs a granola bar stashed in his pocket, opening the wrapper and starting to eat it. His emergency rations won't last him too long!] Either way, why would you cancel it? Cooking shows were the best part of the food channels back home.

[Because I'm sick of Asami looking at me like I've done something wrong. Korra pointedly does not say that, although it's evident in every dark look she shoots the other girl's way.]

It's just flour, water, and baking soda. [She's twitchy and irritated and so incredibly embarrassed, but Bart knows that this is a punishment, and considering the conversation they had about probending and getting enough rehab points for an arena, she doesn't want to explain to him the real reason she wants to leave the station.

I hate my life.]

FINE. Let's finish this. [She stomps back to the tv kitchen.]

You need half a jīn of flour and one-third a leung baking powder. Mix them together, and add just enough water to get a sticky batter. Fill a pan with lard and drop spoonfuls of the dough. You fry it until both sides are a golden brown. [Korra likes this recipe because it's nice and simple. She goes through the motions of cooking, probably more quickly than someone supposedly "teaching" the recipe should, but nobody said this had to be a quality program. When the first batch of fry bread is done, she puts the pieces onto a towel, pats them dry, and hands it to Bart.]

[Of course - she was fighting with her best friend. The better question was why? They sounded close from what Bart heard, and they had to stick together in a place like this.

Thankfully, Korra's short - but exasperated - presentation distracts him. The second she hands him the first batch, he snatches it.] Ow! [He blows on his hand, then grabbing the bread with a paper towel so that he can properly eat it.

He blows on the bread, as if that'll make it cool down faster, before munching on it happily.] Hey! This stuff's good. [When, you know, it's not hot. Also what the heck were those measurements?]

	Really? [Bart actually gets a smile out of her.] I'm glad. I couldn't find really the right ingredients. [Totally ignoring Asami, because what is maturity? 	Really. [He beams, happily munching on a few more once they've cooled down a bit.] Right ingredients or no, I could deal with this kind of punishment.
