DAY 239 — Morning Greeting
Wake up! The day has begun. Day 239 to be specific. I'm certain you wouldn't want to miss it. Today is another chance to work toward your rehabilitation. Maybe you will be less hopeless today.

In other news, there is lovely display on paperweights* in the museum. To celebrate it will be breezy today. Enjoy!

(OOC: Kiosk requests will be handled by Veridical unless otherwise requested. Mail submissions can be left here. *You can use the paperweight link for some inspiration, but feel free to google any sort of paperweight to be found there.)

I do have that ability, yes. And yet you are now something more than your new memories. Try not to take that too much as a compliment.

Wasn't planning on it.

[ ... why not, he's got some free time. ]

There is one thing I'm wondering, though. Those new memories. They clearly didn't come from the clone you supposedly put in my place, so whose are they?

They are yours. [Did you expect follow-up explanation?]

Jesus Christ, just give me a straight answer for fucking once!

Compelling argument.

We are not limited to your linear view of time.
[Slightly less curly answer?]

It would be inadvisable to look at it as a sign that you leave the dome project.

I'm actually trying to look at it from the exact opposite point of view. Okay, so you might not be "limited" by my linear view of time, but it still doesn't really make a whole lot of sense. You yank me out of one point and replace me, changing everything that would have happened in the future, but I still get memories of that stuff?

They are still the memories you would have had based on the choices you would have made.

...right.

[ Okay, he's processing that. Sometimes, he thinks, it'd be nice to be a Time player instead. ]

Do you feel calmed and fulfilled now?

I don't really know if I learned anything new here today, but fine. You have fun.

You too. Don't forget to brush and floss regularly.
