[ liz is one of the lucky few who didn't spill her guts to the class yesterday, but that doesn't mean she feels entirely comfortable with everything that's been going on. So, in an effort to help get herself back on some sort of a schedule, she's taken to patrolling the dome today. she probably should just keep to one little area, but habits are hard to break and she's slowly coming to see this prison as her new "town." that means the whole place needs to be protected and that's what she's doing.

so she can be found wandering just about anywhere in the dome except sector 6. ]

[ later on, she leaves a message for everyone from mystic falls, just to check up on them. ]

	'Least that's somethin', ain't it? Learnin' from your mistakes. There's people who think that as long as you learn from 'em, it's okay to make 'em. The wardens ain't one of those people obviously, but I like the idea. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

They don't like a lot of things, do they? [ seriously, she's starting to think they're against things like real fun and growth and adaptation and acceptance and all that good stuff. ] Some mistakes are easier to make and deal with than others, but I guess as long as they weren't intentional, at least not the bad ones, and you learn from it... that's what matters.

[ at least liz wasn't the one who thought she could torture the vampire out of caroline and wouldn't have even at her most judgmental and close-minded. she likes to think this makes her better than her ex-husband, but sometimes she just doesn't know. she wouldn't do either now, though, and that's what she hangs onto. ]

I mean, everyone makes mistakes. You just... learn from them and hope nothing worse happens.

	It's a lot more productive than beatin' yourself up for somethin' you can't change. [ Her brow furrows. ] I know it ain't gonna help our sentences here, but I think that oughta be what we're here for, you know? To learn and change and be better people. I'd say so. [ but she's been there. guess who still blames herself for her daughter's turning? ] That's what I thought when I first got here. They talk about us and our rehabilitation like there's a goal in mind, but... [ she shrugs, looking more than a little annoyed. ] I haven't seen them give us good enough reason or a good enough goal.

[ not that she's advocating not being good people. she's just tired of the wardens and their games. ]

	There ain't. At least, I don't see one outside'a wantin' to make yourself a better person. That ain't a good enough trade off though for bein' here. I like it here. I got friends here and in a way, it's better than home, but it's still a place I'm forced to be. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Glad to hear I'm not the only one who thinks that way. Being forced to be anywhere isn't good. [ well, normal prisons are another story, but... this place is hardly normal. ] I guess the only thing we have to work for is our well-being and that of the others here.
