[When the feed clicks on it shows Bonnie sitting down at a table, a steaming cup of coffee in front of her. There's also a few pastries on a plate next to it.]

Today marks my first month here. I don't think it's something you particularly celebrate but if I had to celebrate anything, it would be the friends I have in this place. Both the ones from home and the people I've befriended in prison. I think that deserves some acknowledgment so if anyone wants to talk about the good things, come down to the bean crushers coffee place. I'll be there for the afternoon.

That's about it.

	[ rebekah isn't someone that bonnie hangs around with a lot, if at all. but she wasn't looking to make even more of an enemy out of her. seeing elena is a welcome sight and bonnie was keen to play catch up with one of her besties. she offers her a warm smile and a wave. ] Hi, Elena. [ she could have -- elena knows that. but she also knows rebekah wouldn't have. elena considered it, believed it, and made a decision. because - ] How wouldn't I do that? [ she gets it; she does. bonnie's reaction. her worry. but in the face of everything, what other choice did she have? she pauses, the helplessness, the turmoil of everything and its effects on her plain.

And I don't want it to work; I didn't want - [ any of this. she wants her choices back. ]

She gave them back. I don't have to listen to the bond anymore. [ she hopes. ]

I don't know how it works either, Elena. If I did, then maybe I would have been able to help you.

[ she knows she can't tell her what to do, all Bonnie can do is advise. ]

You should be able to make your own choices without having some 'bond' determine them for you. I understand that. [ Bonnie knows that she wouldn't want the same for herself. ]

Have you tested it out? See if it worked? Or do you plan on doing that later.

[ elena knows without a doubt bonnie would have done anything, if she could. her eyes soften ; her head tilts to the side, words of reassurance and comfort on her tongue. she's glad, though. glad bonnie understands. of course she would. ] You do help me, Bonnie. You're my best friend. [ she means it, pauses to let its weight settle.

then she pulls in a breath, expels it out. ] No, I haven't. [ damon's reaction to hearing rebekah compelled her aside (which she's already anticipating) that would involve facing if it really does work. it would involve addressing them.
