[Mal's wearing a cowboy hat and, though he looks a bit hung over, he's also grinning. Every once in a while, there's a whicker that sounds like a horse, and a horse's mane invades the video.]

Did ya'll know we had horses here?

Mal's pretty ecstatic to find the horses. He wasn't so happy about jumping through the hoops to get the license to be allowed to ride the horses, but any annoyance fled once he saddled one up and took her out. The mare ran quickly and he almost forgot his discomfort of the water as he rode along the beach. Anyone could encounter him either on horseback or later finishing up his ride and taking care of the horse after.

	We have a garden? [ Not that he'll actually do anything with a garden. Mal lives in space. He's hard-pressed to even keep plants alive anywhere on his ship. 	Yeah, down in Sector 4. One of th' garden plots... it's communal, so anyone can come down and plant whatever they like in memory of th' people back home or if they've lost someone here. 	Yeah... 's not hard to get hold of out in space. Pretty sure I'd go crazy if I had t' survive on those pre-packed, freezedried protein... thing for more than a few weeks. Heck, that was almost too much t' handle. Sure, we don't get th' freshest produce in th' city either but at least it's got some color to it that didn't come out of a chem lab. 	Oh... we end up with protein packs most of our time. Sometimes we do well with canned goods. Very occasional-like we can get our hands on plant material. Ain't cost-effective though. [And usually they were running close to empty on cash when it came to food. Serenity always seemed to be needin' help. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Yeah, that is a problem... thing is, it ain't exactly somethin' you can fix. Sure, you can mess with th' pH values an' fertilize but nothin' really measures up to proper thick, black soil. [ His grandad could taste a piece of dirt and tell if it needed fixing, but dad changed that tradition to pH testing kits and science.
