[Puck's voice sounds cheerful, which isn't an unusual thing for Puck's voice to do, but to those who know him very well - not that there are many in the dome - it might actually sound a little more upbeat than usual.]

So it's been how many technical difficulties in how many days now? Not that I'm complaining [quite the opposite] or trying to imply someone else could do a better job, oh no... but I think it's about time we started taking bets on what it's going to be next.

Can we have a flood? How many other prisons can boast having had an underwater flood? [He playfully clear his throat.] --Probably one or two, considering how the prisons around here seem to multiply like cockroaches. But nevermind that. Underwater flood. Come on, esteemed overlords, you know you want it.

And from one topic to another... isn't there a little lamb out there who thinks something is a bit overdue?

If I say I've already had that talk with myself where I weighted pros against risks and that I'm at complete peace with the decision I landed on, would that mean we can not have it?

[See this Puck? This is Michiru trying not to grin at that response. He's lucky that he does amuse her. She hasn't really followed up on her threats to get him back]

Still, why are the pros greater than the risks?

[If this is video, then he does indeed see it. Naturally he's just too witty to dislike.]

Mmm, how about freedom of expression? "Anyone should be able to make offhand comments without suffering disproportional consequences"? [He's not saying that's his reason, just offering it as a potential one. Apparently honest answers are hard.]

[He is witty and she really does have a lot of patience for things, more than she lets on at times]

That is true. On the same token, if you say it, you should be able to defend it. Otherwise it doesn't look like you had that talk with yourself where you weighed the consequences.

[She gave him a playful smirk at that]

All right, all right. [He was just checking if she'd catch that. Really.] But I imagine you'll prefer that answer - I'm very good at following my whims and justifying it after the fact.

[Sure he was... but she caught it]

Yes, I think I prefer that one over the other.

You see? But really, I'm not looking to have anyone be hurt by floods or anything else. Honest cross my heart truth right there. If any of the upstairs people [Wardens and Engineers, he means] wanted things to be dangerous we'd know by now.

[And there's one factor why why he even said anything to begin with.]

Hmm... that is also true. If they were the type to do something like what you suggested, they would have already done it.

Calling them out for a specific reason then?

Less calling out and more expressing my approval and excitement for whatever's in store next. [In the most roundabout way possible, evidently. At the same time he does like snarking a little at the people in charge now and then.] And making a little pleasant conversation in the same go. I enjoy these little adventures, in case that's surprising.

They do seem to always find someway to make life here interesting, don't they? [She's not sure she finds as much excitement in it as he does, but for the moment, she'll let it go]

Given you? I'd be more surprised if you didn't enjoy it.

[A grin. He does like it when his mischievousness is acknowledged.]

Isn't it lovely? Visitor's Day is a personal favourite of mine at that. This round was fun, wasn't it?

I do have to admit that is an interesting day. I was actually first here for one of those days and then they brought me back.

Have you ever seen someone you know for those?

Really? Must've made an impression.

And I have, actually. An old friend or two. [Fun fact: Puck and Brooklyn are not "old friends".] We had a blast catching up.

Apparently.

[She's learned already that 'friend' may not really be how it really is with him, but its hard to tell]

Did you? What did you talk about?

Oh, this and that. Sorting out timeline differences, and there was a small misunderstanding where he assumed I was here on my own volition. It's nice to know people have such faith in your abilities.

[The way he says it you'd think the timeline differences were the least interesting part of that conversation, when in fact the information he got from that was genuinely shocking for him.]

Interesting that he would assume that. But I guess not knowing the situation would make it difficult. Having been on that side once already I can see how he might think that.

Oh well, it might have something to do with the circumstances under which we usually meet. [They've only properly met once in Puck's canonpoint, but knowing himself...] Or, as an alternative, my upbeat attitude naturally leads to that assumption.

That might be it. With your abilities, you could possibly do it on your own and most people wouldn't consider someone who is happy in prison. I can see where he thought that.

Weren't it for the ever-so-thoughtful magical restrictions? Why, I could head back to Earth for afternoon tea and be back here in time for the next morning announcement. [But there's no way he's stronger than the wardens, as the original point was.]

I'm sure there are a few who could have that ability if it weren't for the restrictions. And I'm sure a lot of people would want your help if you could.

[Not that she's sure she'd ask for his help seeing as what that does]

Of course-- I've never had any delusions that I'm the only soul around who can teleport. And you'd be surprised how much in demand Puck's help is. [Or maybe she wouldn't.]

[No... probably not going to be surprised]

Is that so? I'm sure you'd probably have a line out the door if you had all of your abilities.

[She can troll too]
