No offense, but I'm pretty sure you being there's only going to make matters worse. And I won't be by myself. I sent the same message I just sent Damon to Stefan as well. Worse comes to worse, I'm still wearing the ring. I'll be fine.

[ and he needs to do this, needs to be the one to tell them about the sire bond. it took them so long to figure it out last time, and he still feels somewhat responsible for what happened to elena. she died for him. please don't stop him from stepping up and doing what he can to make up for it. ]

Stefan won't want to explain to Elena how his brother couldn't keep it together long enough not to snap my neck.

[ their elena fixation is one of the few things matt feels he can actually count on when it comes to the salvatore brothers. they'll want him unharmed, because elena will be upset if anything happens to him. ]

	[There is that. While the Elena worship is something that usually kind of irritates Rebekah in today's scenario it might work in their favor. In any case, her expression softens a little.] I get it. [ Damon's aware that Matt knows plenty more about what's happened back at Mystic Falls, but that he's been keeping things to himself (despite being badgered by the girls). Whatever he's been keeping secret can't be good, but Damon figures it probably can't hurt to be all kinds of clueless, right? Obviously, if it's knowledge that could have proven to be useful to them here, Matt would have blurted everything out a while ago. It's why when Damon hears the message, he does nothing but frown for a whole minute. Elena's a vampire and suddenly Matt has things to tell them? ]

Are you going to attempt to give us a list of dos and don'ts? Got a handy dandy how-to guide to dealing with a certain newbie vampire? [ He can't imagine what Stefan must have done to help Elena through her first few days as a vampire back home. Probably forced her to feed on bunny rabbits like he did with Caroline. ]

Why don't we all meet at Stefan's in an hour? [ Looks like future stuff isn't something he can avoid for much longer. ]

[ he doesn't head over there until he's done with his run and has headed back to the apartment to shower and change, somehow finding time to scold rebekah on the network for snipping at both caroline and a new girl. whatever the hell's gotten into her all of a sudden sure as hell isn't helping the fact that elena's a vampire now and regardless of the fact that she's changed, that she's trying to change for the better. it's just making her look like she's falling back on old habits, which kind of pisses him off. matt's stood up for her, put his friendships with people he's known since childhood on the line because of it. he doesn't enjoy being made to look the fool.

matt raises his hand to knock on the door as he turns the knob and pushes it open, finding it as unlocked as stefan said it would be. ] Hello?

[ oh look, someone had the same idea as you, matt. going for a run to clear one's head is just dandy except when you run into someone you're not sure wants to ever talk to you again. so when she spots him, she hopes that he doesn't spot her, he's not looking up at the moment, so she just turns the opposite way and starts running, acting like she's been ahead of him the whole time.

[ matt would be more aware of his surroundings if his thoughts weren't plagued with this whole elena situation and the fact that he's resolved to tell stefan and damon the truth about what's going on there. they need to know, she needs to know, but it doesn't make being the one to tell them that she's sire bonded to damon any easier. he needs to do it, it just... sucks.
