DAY 231 | VIDEO | OPEN
[The face looks human. If not for the fact it is only a face. Beyond that is wires and clear casing in the shape of a hairless human head. It even has eyebrows, but they do not move. The voice that comes with it is light and cheery, but not noticeably manufactured.]

Curious. Yes. Oh yes. Very, very curious. It is fascinating how people come together, is it not? Whether through internal choice or external force, sentient beings drawn together (linked, dare I say) are fascinating to observe. They always manage to surprise one when it is least expected, but only when their limits are pushed. It's never their first choice, oh no. One must force them to acknowledge each other and their common fates. But when it happens, oh the meeting of the minds is an invigorating experience.

[The head turns and looks down before lifting up a hand that is similarly clear with silver joints and colored wires throughout.]

But how do you all handle such physicality? Having a body is so superfluous when you can use your minds to speak to one another. This prison appears to be woefully outdated. What a pity. I am sure your wardens would have less complications if they could do away with it altogether. How are inmates to connect to one another when they are separated by these boundaries?

Oh, what poor manners I am showing. I am Sync, co-warden of Nexus Asylum. I haven't traveled to one of the other prisons before so this is a unique experience for me. I will have to collect a sufficient amount of data to take back with me.

(OOC: Say hello to the warden of a different Asylum prison! Sync is intrigued by having a body and everyone else having one, too. Please be aware this is a fourth wall character and not pertinent or related to any plot or clues related to plot in the game. Sync from an entirely different prison system in an alternate universe and just thinks that MarinaNova is part of its system.)

Can't say I've ever noticed a problem. What's the alternative you have in mind?

If a bowl is the only world a fish has ever seen, how would it know that it is missing the ocean?

Are you sure you heard my entire monologue? I stated exactly what method is better once already.

[ A pause as he listens to it again.

There are a lot of people talking today, okay? ]

...yyyeah, that method you stated is completely bizarre.

To one who is accustom to their physical limitations, it is natural to see the more progressive forms of communication as "bizarre," but I assure you it is far more successful in translating one's exact intent.

Right.

So what's it like in your prison, anyway? Telepathy aside.

It is not telepathy, but cognitive unity. And Nexus Asylum is a very pleasant facility with mostly well behaved inmates working towards rehabilitation and self betterment.

[ Wow, he cannot put into words how utterly horrifying that is to him. ]

...right.

Guess so. Enjoy your newfound physicality while it lasts.

Thank you for your encouragement. It will be an educational experience. If you have any further questions, do come again.
