230 - [ action ] - open
[Oz is sitting at the beach in Sector One. It’s one of the first times he’s ventured out and about since that class about werewolves and how to kill them. Right now he’s sitting in the sand close to where the surf is coming in, his pants are rolled up so that the water just hits his feet and ankles before receding again. He’s leaning back on his palms, eyes closed, face turned up in spite of the overcast sky. He looks very calm, as always – very peaceful, as always. But also, as per usual, what’s on the outside doesn't always match what’s on the inside with Oz.

He’s enjoying the quiet and his solitude. But he won’t turn away anyone who might come across him.]

[ helen isn't sure what brought her to the beach again, so soon after the heatwave and the memories of april 14, 1912, but here she is, toeing the water again. and thinking. she's always thinking.

it isn't long after she begins to stride down the shoreline that she notices someone else in the sand. for a moment, she simply keeps going, not wanting to interrupt too much. but after a while, she does, recognizing him and wanting to at least offer a greeting. ]

I do hope you aren't the type to sunburn easily. [ enough time spent outside, even in overcast skies, could result in a burn -- at least, as far as she's aware -- and she wants to offer good wishes, for as long as their interaction will last. ]

[Don't be too freaked out, Helen. But he smells you before he sees you. He also senses the indecision in whether to interrupt or not. But knowing it's a friendly sort of person, he's glad when she decides to speak up.

He partially squints over to her. It isn't sunshine but opening his eyes in the daytime is still letting the bright in.] Oh I'm a burner. [Pale skin and red hair will do that. But having been a hermit for several days, he's still enjoying the day out.] I promise not to enjoy the irony for a burning amount of time though.
