Day 226 l Christmas Party Mingle
[Ianto has, predictably, gone a bit overboard for the Christmas party he and Jack are throwing. The entire apartment has been decorated; there's a tree with gold and silver ornaments and twinkling lights, garlands draped over doorways, candles in every window and festive nicknacks scattered about. It looks like something out of a magazine, and may make visitors a little afraid to actually touch anything. There's also a lot of mistletoe around (one of the side effects of living with Captain Jack Harkness) so it's probably a good idea to keep one eye on the ceiling at all times.

Of course he's made plenty of coffee and some appetizers, so he hopes people really do respond to the invitation Jack sent out, otherwise there are going to be a hell of a lot of leftovers.]

[But he knows people don't always do what's best for them when it comes to this kind of thing. He doesn't have to look any further than himself for that. Maybe no one could have stopped him from being with Ruby, but it was a mistake and not one he can just chalk up to character building considering what happened. He doesn't think Elena being with Damon is going to bring about the apocalypse, but it doesn't need to be the apocalypse to be bad.]
