[ He's nervous as they head down to the beach, backpack filled not only with presents but with a few choice items as well. Ritualistic. A ceremony he hasn't been a part of for years and that normally requires a month of preparations but here they are in the land of last-minute-surprises and Aidan can't pass up this opportunity. It's as close as he'll ever get to a Winter Solstice celebration ever again and although it isn't a pig being slaughtered and there's no designated boulder here, he'll do what he can with what he's got.

Hands bare and reddened by the cold, he reaches out to grab Helix's hand as they walk. Nervous. Excited. ]

Hey, y'all. Happy holidays and uh... and all that. [ Unsure if he did that right. They don't do Christmas where he's from and that's very much the point of this transmission. ] I was thinkin', I bet there's plenty of us that don't celebrate th' way the Wardens've set this up. We've got people from all over the worlds after all, it'd be weird if everyone did it just like this.

How do you do it back where you're from? Do you celebrate... Christmas or is it somethin' else?

Oh, and uh... I'll be doin' a little celebration type thing of my own down at th' beach, if anyone wants to join. Just a little somethin' from back home... bring a cup, if you're comin' down.

[ Action; open. Aidan can be found down at the beach together with Helix. They've set up a fire in one of the fire pits and anyone interested will get an introduction to the godless earth-worshipping religion that Aidan is a surprisingly devout follower of. He can also be found scurrying over the dome throughout the day, delivering GIFTS to friend and foe alike! If your character isn't on the list but has some kind of CR with Aidan, feel free to assume they got something useful and generic like a pair of gloves or a scarf! ]

	Not a thing. It's kinda weird, you'd think you'd remember a place like this no matter what but... no such luck. Oh, well, I guess if it's just a little bit.

[The last time there was drinking Conrad and Murata had been around to watch out for him. The fact that this thought enters his mind is kind of obvious by the way his eyes dip to look at important things like the snow. He manages to spend most of his time in a state of pleasant neutral, enjoying things as they come and interacting with people as he crosses their path. He is very much of the moment—a reactor. He doesn't plan and in most cases he doesn't fret or worry about what's coming next. That's his family's job or his entourage in the demon kingdom. They take care of him and the house and the kingdom and somehow he manages to pull through for them when it really counts. He does the impossible things with one very notable exception. He hasn't gotten everyone home yet, and every day that he doesn't it's a little easier to...look at the snow than the people he's letting down.

But today isn't about that. It isn't about his shortcomings or being trapped. It's about people sticking together against the odds and sharing what they have with each other and candy canes and snow and "a little booze."

So, the expression doesn't last that long. Just enough to show it was there before he raises his head again and pushes that Yuuri smile forward.]

Should I bring anything?

[ He's not the sharpest tool in the shed or the most observant, but he does have a knack for reading people. It's an animalistic kind of thing, closer to intuition than perception, the same kind of sixth sense that makes a cat curl up next to a sick person or a dog pace anxiously outside a closed door. Needless to say, he doesn't miss that brief expression. It's unusual, coming from Yuuri but this isn't the time for it. He'll remember it though. ]

Well... there'll be a fire, so if you wanna roast marshmallows or anythin' that would be good.

I've never done that in the winter before. It sounds good though. [His smile brightens up a bit. It's easy enough to push the other thoughts away and focus on the present. It can still be a pretty great day, and this is important to Aidan, so it will be important to Yuuri too.]

So, I should probably go find some marshmallows and get ready. Where do they keep those? [He doesn't do a lot of the shopping.]
