[Urgently, as he strides back to the Clocktower apartments with his coffee from Bean Crushers] Ianto? Martha? I need to get to Sector 3 so I can take charge there, but I'm coming back home for you two first. You're in my team anyway, Martha, and Ianto, no harm in you coming too.

[Which of course is Jack-speak for "Once I've found you, I'm not letting you out of my sight.]

Rose? Kitty? Reid? Fingers? [A slight pause.] Rebekah? Let me know you're all right, so I don't have to worry about you, please.

Likewise. [And it's true -- despite what happened she had enjoyed his company before, and it was reassuring to see he was doing alright. There's an odd sort of pause where she debates what to do next -- regret isn't something she ever knew how to deal with very well.]

I wasn't quite myself that day. I know it doesn't excuse what I did -- but even my temper isn't usually quite that bad.

[This really isn't the time for deep introspection, but he takes time out of searching for people to herd to safety to stand still for a moment, gazing at the camera as if meeting her eyes over the network, a tiny, rueful smile on his lips.]

I know you weren't. [Even if he didn't know it at the time.] I... wasn't at my best either.

[Another beat, and then a loud crash against the dome above him makes him glance up. His lips purse.] Look, we can talk later. For now, just keep yourself safe, okay?
