My, my, this is quite the development. Get unlawfully incarcerated, get a free Skype account and a reject Xbox headset. Microsoft ditched this design for a reason, but it's good to know that access to social media isn't limited to the footloose and fancy free. They can cross being biased against the criminally charged off their would be lawsuits -- if any of these charges happened to be valid, that is. You seem to be lacking a proper judicial system. Get one. The Big Brother look isn't good a look on anyone, and I have zero interest in playing along with your little game of transdimensional authoritarian checkers, Stalin and Mussolini. [ that'd be you, conscienti and veridical. ]

As for the pocket placement itself, sans your little list o' crimes... [ a shrug of indifference. ] As a good friend of mine once said, "Go to heaven for the climate, hell for the company."

[ not like he's got anything better to do -- at least, not at the moment. give it time, he'll grow bored and restless, and start rattling the bars on his underwater cage soon enough. neither will stop him from being difficult, though. ]

Anyone know if this thing happens to do Guitar Hero?

Hurt yourself already sitting. That's impressive.

The only thing wounded at the moment is perhaps my patience. Is there some reason I should care who it is that I am speaking to?

And yet, you were the one who made the conscious decision to not only listen to my submission to the feed, but respond to it as well. Sounds like self-inflicted wounds and an over-inflated ego to me. Ease up, junior.

[ it's like dealing with johnny. joys. ]

You used the words primitive and ignoramus. I am neither archaic, nor am I stupid. Being fluent in pop culture is not an indication of stupidity. I happen to possess IQ of 230 and am a world famous physicist, engineer, and inventor. You'd do well not to go around judging books by their intentionally sarcastic covers.

[ well, given these new revelations, the latent mentat count appears to be up by one. that certainly interests piter, but all the same, a sharp, long-suffering sigh escapes him, and when he speaks it is as if he is talking down to a child. ]

Your precious "pop culture" is irrelevant as can be and the constant references are incredibly juvenile and grating to one who perceives it is ancient history. I do believe "archaic" is a perfectly suitable descriptor, in that respect.

I happen to also believe that the connotation of ignorance inherently present in the word "ignoramus" is quite accurate as well, considering the laudably immense ignorance you insist on displaying at the moment. Idiocy can be perpetuated by even the most remarkable of minds— and you would do well to remember, junior, that there are few who will recognize you here, and fewer that will care to read the brilliant novel you claim to be. I do not know your name, and I do not know your world famous face.

[ what kind of loser is only famous on one world? what a nerd. ]

Of course not. The probability that we're from the same world, much less the same version of the world, is considerably low given the warden's ability to nab people from varying realities, realms, planets, and times. I do not expect recognition. If I did, I would've introduced myself right off the bat instead of going for the annoying the wardens angle, thank you very much. And I'm 155 years old -- hardly a junior.

[ a roll of his eyes, because he is so not interested in dancing circles around this man. he enjoys his banter, but there's a time and a place for it. now is neither of those. ]

The name's Tesla. Doctor Tesla. Are we done?

[ piter considers whatever time he is engaged in banter to be the time for banter, whether or not the same is true for the other party. tough luck for tesla. ]

We are not, doctor Tesla. [ but he is going to ignore most of what nikola said. ] Your behavior is juvenile, but I see that your mind and its tenement are not. Is there some reason for such a prolonged lifespan? [ his hunch has something to do with vampires, of course, given that it's almost always been the reason for these things. ]

[ his behavior is deliberately juvenile -- for the most part. nikola is quite capable of being the proper gentleman when such is required of him and was heralded for it in days long gone, back when he was an important public figure who mingled about in the light more than those of the five who weren't part-vampire. ironic, really.

shrug. he cares not what people think of his behavior. ]
A stroke of brilliance and the latent abnormalities to be found lurking just beneath the surface of seemingly ordinary human DNA. [ vampires is right, but not in the way that everyone would assume. nikola is not dead, and his vampirism is a factor of latent and recessive genes, but he isn't going to own up to it. nope. he's going to claim helen's abnormality: longevity. ]

How curious. [ his own impending longevity is somewhat simpler, a case of addiction, a blessing to some and a curse to others. he has settled easily on “curse,” but not until marina had he paid it much mind; once, he had no reason to think about it, knowing instead that his life would be cut short on some whim of his master. now, a new life in captivity looms. ]

And what training, if any, have you received in order to be capable of striking such brilliance? [ piter does not doubt that tesla, like reid, has a mind not unlike his own. ignoring for a moment his initial (and still quite current) impression of the fellow as insufferable, he can award him some civility for that— hardly out of respect; he has found that it makes demanding information a bit less invasive. ]

I was not trained by anyone, you impertinent little halfwit. I'm Nikola Tesla! My genius was born, not bred!

[ clearly he was wrong to attempt even false civility. nikola tesla is the most impertinent of little halfwits.

piter bursts into laughter.
]

How very rich! You dare to speak to me this way, as if I should shrink away from your imagined might? I could bleat my name and title and wail about my great intellect as well, but I do not. Repeating your name does not impress me.

And I hardly implied that what genius you possess was bred, you pompous fool. Are you educated, boy? Have you read, perhaps attended a class in between your bursts of unparallelled egotism? Or did you merely spring up, impoverished, from a puddle of filth, already with the knowledge required to become a world famous inventor?

[ if he were interested in parading his vampirism before the masses, there'd be something here about eating him if he didn't have expensive tastes and wanted to avoid getting filth stuck between his teeth, but since he isn't, nikola reigns himself in. he's heard worse. he's dealt with worse; from edison to government leaders, to those awful victorian snobs at oxford, to nazi spies looking to secure his secrets for germany's use, to dear old john. there are better things to do here than prove himself to an annoying, ignorant little man who ultimately means nothing to him. he's nikola tesla. he doesn't need anyone's validation.

he rolls his eyes, as if suddenly bored. ]
Oh, good lord. If I were interested in participating in a dick measuring contest, I'd get a MySpace. Want to know more about me, boy? Crack open a history book or exercise your Googlefu and get educated before you make yourself out to be more of a fool than you already are. Ta ta.

[ he gives a sarcastic little wave of his fingers towards the camera, then disconnects the feed. kreten. ]

[ damn his vague knowledge of earth history. piter has no clue what a myspace is or what unholy activity googlefuing is, but he is absolutely gearing up to rip tesla apart— before the fool disconnects on him.

it's no use to pursue him, so he is left with a hundred furious words swirling in his head and no one to take them out on. even the baron never had the nerve to speak to him like this. how dare this snide man? how dare he?

needless to say, piter is finding himself quite displeased with earth and its obnoxious historical figures. perhaps if finds the heat distasteful, he should refrain from rushing into the kitchen and sassing things to the point of combustion. for now, though, he is off to go bolster his ego even further and busy himself with chemicals and toxins.
