My, my, this is quite the development. Get unlawfully incarcerated, get a free Skype account and a reject Xbox headset. Microsoft ditched this design for a reason, but it's good to know that access to social media isn't limited to the footloose and fancy free. They can cross being biased against the criminally charged off their would be lawsuits -- if any of these charges happened to be valid, that is. You seem to be lacking a proper judicial system. Get one. The Big Brother look isn't good a look on anyone, and I have zero interest in playing along with your little game of transdimensional authoritarian checkers, Stalin and Mussolini. [ that'd be you, conscienti and veridical. ]

As for the pocket placement itself, sans your little list o' crimes... [ a shrug of indifference. ] As a good friend of mine once said, "Go to heaven for the climate, hell for the company."

[ not like he's got anything better to do -- at least, not at the moment. give it time, he'll grow bored and restless, and start rattling the bars on his underwater cage soon enough. neither will stop him from being difficult, though. ]

Anyone know if this thing happens to do Guitar Hero?

Flea market knock-offs?

I've only been here about three weeks, but I've been doing some research. [Scientist in the making so they ought to get along well if Peter doesn't drive him crazy. He'll realize who he is eventually and fanboy a bit.

For the moment he starts talking animatedly, obviously very into what he's saying. ]
Okay, so it seems like the prevailing theory or idea is, over all, that we're not on Earth anymore, assuming you're from Earth and there are some people here who aren't. Anyway, alien planet. Big aquarium. There's some debate about whether anyone is actually pressing their faces to the glass or not. The Wardens are watching either way.

Personally, I think it's a multi-universe, all encompassing alien take over in the making. They're pulling our people out, replacing them with clones. There's got to be a reason behind that, right? I mean, in theory--their theory, I think--they're taking out the 'bad element' and replacing it with a Stepford Element, which okay...works theoretically, but that's a whole other conversation about humanity, right and wrong.

Uhm...I-I don't--[Cue the awkward teenage boy Peter really is.] I don't know if that answered your question.

[Still awkward but now he's grinning.]

Yeah, same for the games, but they're essentially the same thing.

I'm from Earth, yes. A little bit of everywhere -- New York for the most part. [ shrug. he hasn't lived in new york in decades and his last known location was somewhere in east africa. nevermind the fact that he was born in croatia and english isn't even among the first three languages he learned. that finely tuned american accent is very deceiving.

he grins, pleased. ]
Actually, you answered it quite well. I assumed as much, though I wouldn't be surprised if this alien aquarium planet exists within it's own little pocket dimension. A dimensional purgatory of sorts. Quite fascinating, really. [ and he fully intends to study this particular phenomenon while he's here. ]

Bummer. Guess copyright laws really do cross the thresholds of other universes. The RIAA's reaches know no bounds.

Yeah? Me too. The New York part. We lived in Manhattan. I did. Me and my aunt and uncle, I mean. That's cool.

[Oh good. He had tried to answer the question as thoroughly as possible.] So basically, you think it could be everything all rolled into one. All the theories I mean.

[Peter shrugs] It's okay. Like I said, they're pretty good knockoffs. I'm Peter Parker, by the way. I sort of got excited about answering the science part of things and forgot to introduce myself, which is probably--probably really nerdy sounding.

[And yet.]

Essentially. Quite the opportunity. [ not that he really believes that being here is any sort of opportunity, but he was bored where he last was, directionless and forced to reevaluate a pov he's held tightly to since the end of wwii, so why the hell not? it's a welcomed distraction in comparison. (at least for the moment.) ]

To tell you the truth, Mister Parker, I haven't resided in New York since the 1940s. Visited a couple times, but you don't make a habit of hanging around your old haunts when you're supposed to be dead. [ no name offered in return. not yet. ] I'd tell you it wasn't nerdy sounding, but that would be lying. It was excessively nerdy, but there's nothing necessarily wrong with being overtly nerdy.

To research something different? Yeah. It's not really my thing. I sort of am more interested in biological genetics, but it's still really fascinating in theory. You know, as long as you're not stuck here. Which we are, but anyway...[Peter isn't sure that even made sense, what he said.

He squints, leaning a bit closer to the video.]
You don't look that old and why are you supposed to be dead?

[He shrugs a bit.] I accepted being nerdy a long time ago. I also skateboard and take photographs as a hobby. [Basically, he embraces his nerdiness.] It's supposed to be the new cool, or something like that.

I look good for 155, don't I? [ immortality does have it's perks! a shrug in response. ] Oh, a little of this, a little of that. Mostly getting a couple of rowdy governments off my back. A brilliant mind is as much of a blessing as it is a curse.

[If Peter hadn't gotten used to those things here, he'd be shocked, as it is, his eyebrows go up.]

You hacked them?

Oh. Well, in that case, yes. I've done lots and lots of hacking since the computer age rolled in. Not like it's hard. [ nikola. ego. ]

I wouldn't exactly call World War II "some rebellion," sonny.

I think it depends on the person. I'm not much of a hacker, but I do okay programming small things.

[Eh it's okay. Peter doesn't mind. He raises his eyebrows at that.]

You incited World War II?

I excel at both and then some. [ like hiding a praxian nanite behind a veritable fort knox of firewalls deep within the old city sanctuary's systems. ]

No, I stopped World War II. Ever hear of the Enigma Machine? You're looking at the man who cracked it.

[His last statement brings about a look of absolute confusion and disbelief to Peter's face.]

But...that would make you [He pauses, attempting to make what he's about to say make sense in his head. He knows who this man is. He's enough of a science geek to have done research on him when he first learned about the Tesla Coils.]

Nikola Tesla.

[ something bitter flashes across his features for a split second. ] Of course I'm not. It's all EME -- Edison, Marconi, Einstein -- in those textbooks of yours.

[ oh peter. he's touched, really, but he... he's done his fair share of things. he went a little off the rails during those six decades he spent in self-seclusion, warped by loneliness, history forgetting him, and blind ambition. helping john tear apart the remnants of the cabal may have been just, but murder is on his list for a reason.

he isn't showing his list to anyone. ]
Doesn't seem like a lot of you I've spoken with thus far ought to be here either, Mister Parker.

Actually, I'm in advanced sciences in school. We haven't talked about Edison or Marconi since eighth grade. It's more Bohr, Schrödinger, Newton and Planck. Edison invented a lot of things, but those guys really worked on the theories that are going to be important and are important right now. I'm studying biological genetics so that's even a whole new set of scientists, but that's more of an independent study than anything.

[He stops short, realizing he was just rambling to Nikola Tesla.] Uhm...sorry Mr.--Mr. Tesla.

[Peter doesn't blame him for not wanting to show his list. It's a rather personal thing. Peter just meant that it seems like Tesla has contributed more good to society than bad.]

The Wardens have this whole black and white thing going on. Circumstances don't matter much to them.

Edison didn't invent anything. He was a hack who took bases other people founded and built up off of them. He didn't postulate anything on his own! [ sorry peter, it's a sensitive subject. ]

Like I said, Big Brother. And I prefer Doctor, if you wouldn't mind. Mister makes me sound like some kid's father, and I haven't done the offspring thing.
