My, my, this is quite the development. Get unlawfully incarcerated, get a free Skype account and a reject Xbox headset. Microsoft ditched this design for a reason, but it's good to know that access to social media isn't limited to the footloose and fancy free. They can cross being biased against the criminally charged off their would be lawsuits -- if any of these charges happened to be valid, that is. You seem to be lacking a proper judicial system. Get one. The Big Brother look isn't good a look on anyone, and I have zero interest in playing along with your little game of transdimensional authoritarian checkers, Stalin and Mussolini. [ that'd be you, conscienti and veridical. ]

As for the pocket placement itself, sans your little list o' crimes... [ a shrug of indifference. ] As a good friend of mine once said, "Go to heaven for the climate, hell for the company."

[ not like he's got anything better to do -- at least, not at the moment. give it time, he'll grow bored and restless, and start rattling the bars on his underwater cage soon enough. neither will stop him from being difficult, though. ]

Anyone know if this thing happens to do Guitar Hero?

Tesla.

Doctor Tesla.

[Oh Tesla, don't be too heartbroken as he pauses and tries really hard to try and remember that name at all. Sadly he comes up short. For what time he was in school they didn't teach it and most of his teenage life he was on his own and learning how to survive as a shifter.]

Ah... sorry. Doesn't ring a bell.

[And the fact he's introducing himself as Doctor sounds important. He feels silly. Now he hopes the guy doesn't think he's just some dumb redneck.]

But you've heard of me?

Really? Not even a little chime? [ and this place was doing so well when it came to people actually knowing who he was, too. ]

Perhaps. Maybe.

[A slight shake of his head. Yep, he feels bad about this.]

No. An' I feel like I should know you... [But he doesn't and it's weird this guy knows who he is. It's like forgetting someone's name and face when you clearly met only a few years ago in passing. Maybe it was a brief encounter but you still feel guilty when you don't remember them and they remember you.

He clears his throat.
]

Well, kin I offer you a drink? Y'kin tell me what I'm missin'.

[ a heavy sigh. ] I'm Nikola Tesla. I invented the radio, alternating current...?

Unless you have something with a little more caliber than something purchased at a gas station, I'll have to decline. [ wine snob, thy name is tesla. ]

You... Invented those things? Wasn't that... ages ago? [You look awfully young to be an inventor from around Edison's time.]

I'm sure I kin find y'somethin', we have a wide selection.

Well over a century. [ said as casually as he'd declare the sky blue. ]

How's your wine selection? [ he doesn't drink anything but wine. alcohol wise, anyway. ]

[Kind of forgetting the wine question here for a sec. Over a Century. The only thing that can live that long, that he knows of, are vampires and well... gods or demi-gods as it were. He's studying him with some disbelief.]

So... does that make you a..? [Vampire. Well, he'll let you fill in the blank Tesla.]

Does that make me a what? [ his head tilts and brow furrows open confusion.

he's good at it, feigning that he has no idea what you're talking about. he's not open with his fangs when it comes to those outside of the sanctuary network, and as far as this place is concerned, he simply shares helen's ability: longevity. ]

[And the confusion makes him back-peddle a little, he might be over-thinking a bit now.]

If... you've lived so long, that means you're not human. An' there's lots of vamp'rs here. I once knew a Maenad too. There's plenty of non-humans.

[Try not to let your ego run away with the idea he thinks you could be a god... Also kind of trying to give the feeling of, hey, I'm used to this, you can trust me.]

Vampires of the non-extinct variety? How interesting. [ not a lie; the sanguine vampiris are very much eradicated in his version of the world. he may have their blood coursing through his veins, but that's because vampires coupled with his human ancestors. he's not a full-blooded vampire. ]

Oh, I'm human, but I'm far from being an ordinary, baseline blank slate of a human being with genetic material that's free of any latent abnormalities. I'm an Abnormal, if you're looking for the technical term. And where you're going the Dracula route, it's actual more in the Nicolas Flamel direction. Longevity, son. It's a thing.

[Trying to put the pieces together, he can probably see the cogs slowly turning.]

So you've got th' whole immortal thing but none of the rest?

[His brows raise. That actually sounds... pretty cool.]

And Vamp'rs are extinct in your world. I'd say yer damn lucky.
