[Rogue is in the hospital because Oz's werewolf lost control and attacked her. She's a mess of bandages and stitches. One arm is completely wrapped up. There are stitches in her shoulder, across her stomach, on one thigh and from elbow to wrist on arm. Despite all of this having happened less than twenty four hours ago, she's in relatively good condition. Part of that is due to the pain medication she's on, but the other part of it is due to the advanced healing she received from Oz when she used her power to get him off her. She's also been left with a craving for rare meat, but the hospital isn't keen on bringing her a burger. ]

Guess yesterday's craziness is gone. [She noticed other issues with everyone else too once she looked back on it.]

Any chance I could get someone to bring me up a burger?

It ain't gonna bother me at all. I got so many people in my head, one more's okay. [It's meant as a joke, but in some ways it's true. There are quirks of Logan's and Magneto's that Rogue has never lost, like her tendency to pop her knuckles or the way her knuckles ache when she's angry, like she should be expecting claws to come out. She has nightmares of concentration camps she's never visited and people she's never killed. She figures by comparison, Oz's memories will be a walk in the park.]

I'm okay with it.

Not even ten minutes later, Oz is poking his head around the hospital room door and looking inside at Rogue in the bed. He winces upon seeing her injuries, caused by him. Then he walks inside, hands shoved into the pockets of his slacks. On the surface, he is every kind of calm. Underneath, he is nervous as hell to be out of his cage right now. But this is the least he can do to help Rogue be okay.

"Hey."

	If it helps, Rogue knows that he'd rewind and undo it if he could. It's nothing she's received through his memories; it's just that she feels as if she knows Oz well enough to know that if he could undo this, he would. 	Rogue just shakes her head in response. Her voice is quiet and sincere when she speaks. "I know what it's like, to not be in control of your power, what it's like to have it used against your will." It's one of the crimes on her dossier. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	It's a mutant thing and in some ways she considers Oz just another kind of mutant. She shrugs a little. "Sorta parta the package, I guess." She says it in a semi flirty tone that she hasn't consciously decided upon, but it's easier to be flirty than sad or serious. It also helps that she's still on pain killers. 	The corners of his eyes just barely shift to show a hint of amusement at her flirtation. He's kind of attributing it to the drugs too since he can't imagine he's worth it right now after what he did to her. Oz holds up a hand, palm facing her. "Ready?" (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Oh Oz. If you only knew.

Rogue hesitates, clearly still worried about this, but nods after a moment and puts her hand very lightly into his. She won't hold on, giving him the option to pull away when ever he wants to. She takes a deep breath and closes her eyes as the rush of life, strength, healing and hunger hits her. She gets a collage of memories, emotions and thoughts as well, whatever is foremost in his mind right now. She tries to let those just skim by, not paying too much attention to them.

Foremost in his mind is the attacks on Rogue, Martha and Korra, his own guilt. Then his mind goes to another attack that hadn't ended in murder, he's chasing Tara. Then the wolf shot. And the natural progression from there is the Initiative, Oz waking up in a cell and being experimented on. And then back to the attacks here in the dome. He can feel her draining him, and holds on tighter to give her as much as he can in recompense.

His memory and his guilt hurts. She feels them both as if they're her own emotions. She wants to make this better for him somehow. She wants to hug him tightly and tell him that it wasn't his fault. She wants to drain every single person that experimented on him.

It's clear from his thoughts and memories that his guilt is driving him to do this. It's also clear that he'll hold on far too long. Rather than struggle to pull back, she leans forward, pressing her lips against his. She wants the surprise to make him release her hand.

He definitely would have held on until he had no more to give. That's the point. Atone for sins, even those sins he can't have helped or controlled. Yeah, he keeps holding on tighter to her hand and would have kept holding on no matter how much it hurt. He could take a lot of pain in order to atone and give her some of his own supernatural healing. But then her lips were against his and it was surprising and distracting and his hold on her hand loosens more and more as the surprise wears off, he realizes her touch is making him almost too weak, and then he kisses her, slow and sweet. Automatic response or a deliberate choice, well that was up for debate.

The plan had been to pull away as soon as he loosened his hold on her. In fact, she'd kind of thought he'd pull away from the kiss without her having to do anything. Instead, he was kissing her slow and sweet, as if they had all day, as if she wasn't draining his life away. She hasn't been kissed often enough, not like this and it's too easy to fall into the kiss, to forget that she's not a normal girl. Her bare hand creeps to the curve of his neck and it's only when she notices that he feels a little cool that she jumps away.

"Oh God. I"m so sorry. I was just gonna...I was just gonna sh-shock you inta pullin' away from me. Are you okay? How do you feel? You wanna lay down a minute?"

She scoots over to the side of the bed, wrapping a blanket around her so that all her bare skin is covered.

The moment, and maybe even a second before, the kiss breaks Oz feels his knees give out. He collapses to the floor, his hands gripping the edge of the hospital bed so to keep himself from falling completely. His head is bowed, eyes closed as he tries to get his wits about him. He's just so tired all of a sudden. The wolf is completely quiet, Rogue's ability having drained the beast as well.

"It's okay. I'm good." Not really, but he slowly pushes himself back up to stand, still using the side of the hospital bed as leverage to keep himself upright. Whatever had just happened, it would come back to him in a moment. For now he looks at her with a hint of hope in his eyes. "Is it working? Is there healing?"

	Rogue panics a little when Oz's knees give out. She twines her hands in a blanket and reaches out to grab his forearms. "Yeah, it's working and I'm stronger and ... I feel better, but you ain't lookin' so good, Sugar. You oughta rest a second." She was also hungry and restless, but those were side effects she could deal with at the moment.
