[Rogue is in the hospital because Oz's werewolf lost control and attacked her. She's a mess of bandages and stitches. One arm is completely wrapped up. There are stitches in her shoulder, across her stomach, on one thigh and from elbow to wrist on arm. Despite all of this having happened less than twenty four hours ago, she's in relatively good condition. Part of that is due to the pain medication she's on, but the other part of it is due to the advanced healing she received from Oz when she used her power to get him off her. She's also been left with a craving for rare meat, but the hospital isn't keen on bringing her a burger. ]

Guess yesterday's craziness is gone. [She noticed other issues with everyone else too once she looked back on it.]

Any chance I could get someone to bring me up a burger?

Are they punishin' the people who released 'em? [Because she thinks a lot of the Wardens' punishments are ridiculous, like she's being punished because Oz hurt her, but in this case, whomever did this deserves to be punished.]

Yeah. It's--[And she's awkward talking about Peter to Oz because she'd had a crush on Oz for a long time and in a lot of ways she still does.]

Oh it's just..the guy I was datin' went home. I'm all right though. [In some ways, she is. She expected Peter to run because of what happened with the kissing bots. She expected that eventually he'd realize all of the things they couldn't do and run, but she had some real feelings invested in their relationship and maybe they were new sort of puppy love feelings, but they were still feelings.]

I didn't see anything in the day post about punishments. [And he'd been looking, worried about being punished as well and subsequently being outed as a werewolf and losing what few friends he had made here. He felt so guilty, but his own guilt was far worse than any punishment he could have had, even though it had been completely out of his control.]

Oh, I know how that feels. [He remembers when he and Willow had tried to rekindle things here. And then she had left. It's a terrible feeling, glad that maybe they got to go home and guilty for wishing they were still here. He hadn't even known Rogue had been seeing someone else and is surprised by the flip-flop in his stomach at the news.]

I'm sorry. [For lots of things.]

No...it's--it happens here, don't it? I mean it happens everywhere. People leave and especially when the closest thing to makin' out a girl can do is a quick kiss on the lips. Not to mention anything else. 'Least here I like to think he didn't have any choice, you know? He always acted like it didn't bother him anyhow. [She might sound a little bitter, but then again it's only if Oz is really listening. She's on enough pain meds that it doesn't bother her the way it usually would.]

Thanks. [She says it quietly, almost bashfully. She believes that Peter had no choice in leaving, but past experience and her own fears about it chime in without her consent.] That's kinda what I'm thinkin'. It ain't like I ain't had lotsa other people I care about leave.

[Really, in part, blaming her power is a coping mechanism. It allows her to place some blame somewhere so that she can be bitter and angry as opposed to disappointed and sad.]

I'll hafta take your word for it since I ain't exactly experienced with the other sorta kiss, 'least not without it bein' under duress.
