[Jenna has finally decided to venture out of the apartment on her own since her arrival and subsequent transition.

To say that things have been tough is an understatement, but it could have been so much worse, she knew. Having Elena and Caroline both here to help her, to guide her, to assure her that things would be okay did worlds for her mental health in the days since. Things weren't easy, but they believed in her, and she had to be strong for them too.

Because she was still the adult here. And she was going to fill that role if it killed her. At least now she was strong enough to fill it, even surrounded by all the creatures she'd used to have nightmares about.

Because now? Now she was one, too.

She'll spend most of her time wandering the dome, and can be found near her apartment in Sector 3, the beach or the Memorial Gardens during early afternoon, or at the Blood Shack in the evening.]

[Jenna's eyes wander through the bar as she walks in, taking in the sights, and noticing that a certain obviously bleached blonde guy is watching her.

She purses her lips and walks to the bar, having a seat on one of the stools, pointedly trying to ignore him for now.

She's just going to stare at the taps, knowing full well what came out of them, though she orders a vodka gimlet first. That's what they told her after all, alcohol diminishes cravings. At least she was always a bit of a lush.]

And here I thought it'd be a little more secretive that that. I guess I should have known better, given the name.

[She drinks the rest of her current drink, turns back to the taps. Other than that first taste, when she'd still be halfway between life and death, she'd only ever had it room temperature.

She seems to consider, then takes a breath, and orders two drinks.

One animal, one human. Warm.]

[ He watches her with silent curiosity, takes in the hesitation and the moment where she makes her decision. Experimental. It's so very foreign — aside from the occasional animal blood diet when nothing else is available, no self-respecting vampire would ever dream of resorting to already-tapped blood. They certainly wouldn't test it out like wine, even though the nuances in human blood alone are plentiful.

So housebroken. It's kind of sad. ]

First time ordering for myself, anyway.

[Because they've been bringing it to her, so that she didn't have to be around people while she made those first adjustments. Because they were afraid she'd hurt someone.

She was afraid too.

The smell of the blood has her hunger stirring again as her drinks arrive, and she starts with the animal blood. Pigs, though she's trying not to think about that.

It still makes her scrunch her nose when she drinks it, though.]

Pig is alright in a pinch, especially if you mix it up with somethin' else. Rat is terrible. I'd stick to human if I were you, no need t' torture yourself for no good reason.

I tried to start out with animal blood, until I got used to everything but...

[She feels guilty for even thinking it, even if she knows she can't help it. Jenna takes another tentative sip before she finally just shakes her head and pushes it away, grabbing the other glass and turning on her stool slightly so that she's facing him more.

It's awkward to talk to someone she's not even looking at.

As she takes a sip from the second glass, she sighs almost blissfully, as if it were the most refreshing thing she's ever had. As she swallows, she looks down into the glass in her hands.]

I should be grossed out. It's so surreal.

[ Definitely watching as she drinks. He's been around enough baby vampires in his day but it was never quite like this. Most of the time they were just cannon fodder, rowdy henchmen, a liability and with him being the youngest in their dysfunctional Whirlwind family, Spike never really got the chance to see all this up close.

It's fascinating, to say the least. ]

You must've had a bloody good human life, to say something like that.
