She told Rogue that she was fine, that the discomfort was only momentary during the brief kiss they were forced to share, but that was far from the truth. Once the other girl she shared a face with had departed, Sookie moved - with great difficulty, as she was determined to hold herself upright and appear right as rain - past the bar and into the back, down the hall until she reached Sam's office. She was sure he wouldn't mind her using it to take a few moments to gather herself, to deal with the fact that she felt as if the life had been drained right out of her.
Along with her light, her ability to hear what others couldn't. She knew that it would be gone for a while, had prior knowledge of just what her facetwin's powers entailed, but right now that loss didn't matter, as the how much everything hurt, how weak she felt, was too much to bear.
Grasping the arm of Sam's desk chair, she sank down into it, and leaned back, closed her eyes and wished for the destruction of every single last kissing bot in this fucking prison.
