Greetin's Marina.

I jus' wanted t' announce that th' Rusty Spoon will be undergoin' a name change t' Merlotte's an' will be officially open as of right now. As in all our construction is finally done.

I was looking' t'celebrate tonight an' I figure after all of th' therapy some of y'all could really use a drink er'two. This one especially goes out to everyone who helped me put everythin' together and t'make this possible. Thanks for all your hard work!

I'd really appreciate y'all comin' in and at least seein' th' menu or takin' a load off. I have a pool table an' y'kin play cards or jus' plain socialize and cure what ails ya. We made some finger foods and bits o'stuff t' sample from th' menu too.

So stop on by an' I promise ya won't have t'spill yer guts unless it's t'the porcelain goddess.

[Okay so he's not the best to be talking publicly to people but hey. It's only slightly awkward right? It's a little funny right?]

((ooc: Go ahead and treat this like any mingle. Sit at the bar, play pool, drink, nibble food to eat or dance (just this once, one of his rules is no dancing)! There is a table set up with tid-bits of burgers, or hot dogs or chili or whatever sort of southern/comfort/american diner foods you could think of. Help yourself! Threadjacking and such is encouraged. Have fun!

notes to his staff, feel free to assume you are there to help, helped earlier to set up, or will help after to clean up, or just there to have fun. He is a-okay with a minimal staff for the even so that all of you can celebrate. But if others are just super willing to help out he will not say no.))

[ Hei smiled nervously at the description, shaking his head ] I'm used to taking the orders and serving the drinks. This is just another step to complete.

[ he paused and then leaned forward conspiratorially ]

Although I did practice after hours, when the owner was gone. [ ahem, and back to cleaning he goes until the next order, the next drink. A man has to have some ambition. ]

Yeah, me either. I mean it looks like a crowd pleaser... an' it might be fun. But I cain't imagine it bein' entirely worth th'trouble of learnin' unless y'go to a bartendin' school er'somethin'.

[Well he hadn't exactly meant that he taught himself behind his bosses back but... in general. Still.]

Well in any case, come t'me if ya want some refreshers or trainin' I keep a close watch on this place.

[In other words, no sneaking in here when you think he's not looking. He's being friendly and joking about it though, even if he is serious about helping him if he needs it.]

[ Hei's smile is immediate ] That won't be necessary. That was before I could take the bartender's exam. [ and he already had the job didn't he? Surely that would be enough.

Ah, but wait. ] Would you like another drink sir?

[ he nods to Sam's glass. It isn't empty, but it was more empty then full. A good bartender would never let it go empty. A better one would know when to stop, but... It is still polite to ask. ]
