Greetin's Marina.

I jus' wanted t' announce that th' Rusty Spoon will be undergoin' a name change t' Merlotte's an' will be officially open as of right now. As in all our construction is finally done.

I was looking' t'celebrate tonight an' I figure after all of th' therapy some of y'all could really use a drink er'two. This one especially goes out to everyone who helped me put everythin' together and t'make this possible. Thanks for all your hard work!

I'd really appreciate y'all comin' in and at least seein' th' menu or takin' a load off. I have a pool table an' y'kin play cards or jus' plain socialize and cure what ails ya. We made some finger foods and bits o'stuff t' sample from th' menu too.

So stop on by an' I promise ya won't have t'spill yer guts unless it's t'the porcelain goddess.

[Okay so he's not the best to be talking publicly to people but hey. It's only slightly awkward right? It's a little funny right?]

((ooc: Go ahead and treat this like any mingle. Sit at the bar, play pool, drink, nibble food to eat or dance (just this once, one of his rules is no dancing)! There is a table set up with tid-bits of burgers, or hot dogs or chili or whatever sort of southern/comfort/american diner foods you could think of. Help yourself! Threadjacking and such is encouraged. Have fun!

notes to his staff, feel free to assume you are there to help, helped earlier to set up, or will help after to clean up, or just there to have fun. He is a-okay with a minimal staff for the even so that all of you can celebrate. But if others are just super willing to help out he will not say no.))

[ This isn't usually something he does — not something he has the time or even the want to do. Dru spellbound him from the very first moment and after that nothing else really mattered. Harmony came as a distraction that barely counts, something to shag and keep himself from getting bored. Something to fill the void.

Maybe that's what this is too. He's not sure yet, and he has no intention of thinking on it too hard. A spot of fun, that's all. Something to fill the time.

He nods at her words, following along in a relaxed swagger despite the excitement that coils in his stomach. ]

[It was a distraction for her. Something to take her mind off her circumstances back home and how she felt about them. 'A spot of fun' was a perfect way to describe it and Rose would readily agree if she knew that was what he was thinking.

A few minutes pass and then Rose is leading them to her door, stopping in front of it before she turns to look at him, offering a smile. Then she opens the door, stepping inside and holds it open.

(( ooc: They can't actually have sex since that results in being banded/a warden inquiry/possible punishment and this thread is somewhat backdated by now. There's still plenty of fun that can be had and if you'd like them to get together proper in the future, I'd be all for that! ))

[Probably one of the better places that Rose has ever stayed in her lifetime. She squatted mostly or compelled the owner into letting her and Trevor stay.]
