Day 196 || Group 4's Therapy Session
[ Once approached, there's a little table set just inside the entrance way with crayons and name tags ready for the various inmates called to participate in this particular therapy session. Yes, Group 4, you are being called on to be creative with your name tag. Do try not to hold up the line ♥

Inside, there's another table laid out with tea and water, another for coffee. There's a few snacks as well. Fruit, mostly, some pastries. There is also a sign that clearly reads "Do not eat outside this area." No sense getting sick by accidentally drinking the water you used to clean out your brushes after all!

But, honestly. This is a Healing through the Arts session and as such, the various stations in the room are set up in 2's and 3's for your use. Finger painting by the easels. Build your own frame out of colored macaroni. A coloring station for those of a less creative bent, and even a "basket weaving station" for those who want to untangle their frustrations. ]

At each station, one will find a series of random questions:

1. What color best describes you? List three adjectives to explain your choice.
2. What was the weirdest food you've ever eaten?
3. What do you think the most ultimate gift of the world is.
4. What makes you feel the most secure?
5. Who do you admire the most?
6. What is your concept of a fruitful day?
7. Is the glass half empty or half full? What is in the glass?
8. What is something you have lost that you have never found, or were tremendously relieved when you did find it?
9. If you wrote a book about yourself...what would it be about?
10. When have you laughed the hardest? Cried?
11. Or pick out your own

((ooc: Feel free to rotate around the stations or make up your own art activities. The theme of this therapy session is to expose/get in touch with your inner self. Threads for name tags and refreshments will be started otherwise just set up your own character in a thread at whatever station you choose.))

[He shrugs.] I didn't really have normal toys, but I liked this stuffed elephant I had. It reminded me of our elephant Zitka.

What's your favorite holiday?

Winter Solstice. Man, I kinda miss it... I doubt th' Wardens would allow us to celebrate th' way you're supposed to.

What's, uhm... [ Looking over the list. ] What's th' weirdest food you've eaten?

Weirdest I've ever eaten? Haggis probably when we touring were in Europe. That stuff is...they should never tell you what's in it.

[Next question.] Three adjectives that describe you.

Haggis..? [ No, seriously curious here. ] Oh, uhm... I guess that'd be...

[ He takes a moment to think. This is hard. ] Hard-workin'? Curious... and a lot of people say I'm nice, so I guess I am.

[He laughs a bit there.] "A lot of people say I'm nice." Really? Throw "modest" in there, too.

And I'm not telling you what's in haggis. Just look it up. [It's really gross okay.]

[This is an easy question, but the subject is one that makes his pause for a moment.] My folks, obviously. They taught me everything I know.

Yeah... me too. My dad, mostly but my mom too of course. [ Homesick like all hell. ] What're they like? Your folks, I mean.

[He's quite at first but then smiles broadly.]

They were great. Mom was always on me about making sure I was learning and not just practicing, but Dad kept me in line. Had a curfew, made sure I was picking up things from other people in the troupe. Didn't believe we should stick to just our thing and not know anything about the rest of the circus. We were a big family, kind of. They were the best acrobats out there, so they wouldn't take me slacking off there, either. [He rolls his eyes just a bit as if to say "like I would".] Everybody liked them.

[Or at least...he thought everyone had.] What about yours?

I didn't know you were with th' circus. [ This is the most exciting of things, but it'll have to wait. He's got a question to answer. ]

They're... y'know. Average. Farmers, both of 'em. 's kinda th' thing my family's done for as long as anyone can remember... mom's real nice an' kinda strict 'bout showin' respect and treatin' people right. Dad's all 'bout bein' a hard worker an' keepin' yourself honest, remember where you're comin' from...

They're good people. [ Pause. ] I miss them.

Yeah, we were The Flying Graysons! Best acrobat troupe around. [Very proud of that. He'll always be proud. Even if...well, talking about his folks still hurts sometimes. It's better than not talking about them at all, though.] But I've never been to a farm! Did some shows in farm country and people would come from miles around like we were the state fair or something, but I always wondered what they were like.

[He can tell by the way Aidan uses present tense that his folks aren't dead. Or at least weren't when he got dragged here.] You'll be able to go back to them when we finally get out of here though, right?

I'm not too sure 'bout that. Things were kinda... well, let's just say I'm probably better off here than I would've been back home. [ Changing the subject so quickly. ]

So what's it like? Livin' with a circus, I mean... we had some carnivals passin' by in th' summer but it was mostly just jugglers an' fire eaters, never anythin' big like a proper circus.

[He can see a subject change when it's that obvious, Aidan. But he's nice and won't point it out.]

Uh...it was life? I mean, I've been living with Bruce for a couple of months, but living in a mansion is a lot weird than living in the circus. We always had something to do, new tricks to learn, people to help out. There weren't that many kids my age around, but we all had fun.

Bruce Wayne. He took me in. The guy's a billionaire. [It's not like he's going to go around hiding it. People know who he is. He has to play the part.]

My parents died. He was there. He decided to take me in because I didn't have any other family they could give me to. [Not that Bruce would have let them after he saved Dick and got him set right on what they needed to do.]

Heh, I'm always right.
