[ What comes on over the audio is nothing but noise at first. Someone or something is grappling with the communicator. Fingernails perhaps? There is also the incoherent shouting of a male voice that might be familiar to some, but with the way the audio receptors are being abused, it will be hard to make out many words at all. ]

[ Most rustling and... was that a growl? Maybe the rush of air. ] —ere! Thank you. I think I can work this by myself.

[ The young man sighs, and there is one final bit of noise as he slip the device on over an ear. ] Okay. Is it on? I think it's on. This looks different.

[ He clears his throat and takes a deep breath. His attempt is to sound braver than he feels and certainly less seasick than he should be. ] Excuse me! Whoever can hear me, I'm... I'm looking for some friends! They're very important to me, so if there is anywhere I can ask about them, can you please point me the way? I think I saw a map? Maybe if I—

It looks like a park! I passed through a gate to get here. [ Stumbling some of the way, calling out for friends as he came to terms with being UNDER ALL THIS WATER. ]

Huh? O...kay. [ That is a little odd. And what did she mean "again"? Did he pass her along the way somewhere? It could be so and maybe he wasn't paying attention because he was still getting his bearings.

When the call is done with, he stands off to the side near a large rock set in amidst a clean patch of sand. He's resting his back against it for support, and the dragons have curled around the warm rock to keep an eye in the other direction.

He mumbles, apparently to himself. ] ...you know, guys? I should have asked what that girl looked like.

	[True to her word, Hiling arrives at the park in Sector 3, looking for him. She runs over to greet him, throwing her arms around him. It doesn't occur to her that he might not remember. [ The action doesn't catch his attention. Even the dragons don't look up until the last possible moment. They are too late to do more than make a sound that catches Ashton's attention. ] —huh?

Whoa!! [ Be glad he has good reflexes. He catches her, managing to not hurt himself as he's slammed back against the rock. ] Ow! What a—

[ Ashton sputters and his cheeks flare up. Sorry girl, but he's going to not only let go, but actually put his hands on her shoulders to keep her at arms length. ] H-hey! What's going on?

[ The dragons curl up into their idle posture, both heads turned to regard the figure skeptically. ]

I... was? [ Hang on a minute. He's going to stare at the ground and attempt process that a minute. There's a lot going through his head. First off, no friends are around. Secondly, there are people here who might know him because he showed up and... forgot about it? That makes no sense. Where would he have had the time?

Lastly...

Ashton looks back up at her. Oh. That's not a good sigh. He tries to give her a reassuring smile, but it's not all that convincing. ] Hiling? It's nice to meet you, Hiling. "Again", I guess? [ Awkward. ] I really hate to be a bother but what did you mean before by "you've got your dragons"? [ Gyoro and Ururun lean forward a bit, expecting some clarification, too. ]

That's impossible! [ He gestures wide with his arms, as if he was making a case for himself against such a thing happening. ] I don't believe it. I swore I'd never do anything to hurt them, and I wouldn't let anything else happen to them, either! They watch my back, and I watch theirs. It's just that simple.

I wouldn't lie to you. What's important is that things are different now. [Especially not about something like that. She would let him come to terms with it on his own. She just doesn't know how to handle this kind of thing.

One good thing about this that occurs to her is that he'd be back to normal and human. No longer bound to anyone. It's disappointing that he won't remember the times they spent together, but she's happy to have him back.]

[ A weak laugh. He's had to come to terms with a lot heavier news in a much shorter span of time before. This is almost nothing compared to that, and yet it still stings. ] It really is.

Anyway. It sounded like you knew about the dragons, but you haven't met them before? [ He straightens up a bit, acting casual because this totally isn't anything casual. ] Let me introduce you to my friends! [ Motioning to the blue dragon over his left shoulder. ] This is Ururun. [ Then to the red one opposite him. ] And this is Gyoro.

[ Ururun lets out a hiss as Gyoro growls, and both sort of bow in her direction. Ashton unconsciously plants a foot forward to balance himself. ]

Okay! [ Ashton gets the door, but the scent of seafood catches him off guard. At first he looks like he's trying to place the origin. Then, it dawns on him, and he starts to look a little green. ] U-um, do you think... we could stop somewhere else?
