[ Elena's a bit of everywhere today -- by the kiosk, looking shortly at the frozen banana stand and wondering the lengths of the wardens' troll worthiness, at the library browsing for books and maybe taking another peek at some of the ones Angel had been browsing the other day, and having some lunch to-go at The Bistro.

She has a few things on her mind, but she has a polite smile for anyone and everyone. ]

[ Guess who's knocking at the door, Damon? Actually, no: Elena's stopping in front of his door, taking a breath, and getting over herself. She's done everything else in lieu of this today: spoke to Veridical, talked to Claire, walked around the dome. How many times has she shown up at Damon's door unannounced now? Is he even home? Just seeing him isn't exactly her reason for today's visit (thought with such wryness to offset her stressed energy) but still. (It's easier thinking through this than the actual reason for her visit.)

She purses her lips, sets her resolve, and walks in. However, she walks in slowly -- listening for movement or sound, her usual surety somewhat muted. ] Damon?

[ When Eric decides to amble over, Elena's deciding on eating her bagged lunch on the go. Maybe during a walk around the park or something? (She's the best at finding things to do alone in her thoughts and troubles. Mostly, she's been turning this talking to Damon thing over and over in her mind with no real purpose. Nothing changes; there are no epiphanies, no different or better ways to do it.)

Amazingly enough, she doesn't spot Eric until he's more or less in front of her. It takes her a awhile to get to noticing the sunglasses (how ironic) considering he's a viking and that's a lot of torso to look up.

So she's mildly surprised at his height, despite Sookie's consistent description of a viking in regards to Eric.

But she moves past that quickly, simply because Eric being polite isn't something entirely sincere, and she's of the belief that both know this. ] A pleasure. [ Take that however you'd like: wry disbelief, as a polite, mutual sentiment to his own. It's meant something like both. ] I thought you slept during the day.

	[ Oh, well that provokes some unexpected compassion and curiosity out of her. Not that Stefan or Damon or Caroline ever had to suffer long without sunlight, but maybe that's the point. 	I'm sure there are things vampires take for granted. [ It's not spoken as a challenge, or even an argument -- just a statement of fact. She knows, even now, she probably takes a few things for granted, even if some things have been less so since she met an entirely different species. ] How's business? 	You're welcome. And yeah. It's kind of what we would do in Mystic Falls. Plan it, dress up, show up, have fun. [ She says "have fun" with all the enthusiasm of "try not to die" because, well, that's exactly what she means. But the answer is yes. Yes, she would. Because if she didn't, Caroline would make her.
