[Event Announcement]
I'm running a little late with my announcement here, but I hope this still gives people plenty of time to plot things out. A little less that two weeks from now on May 21st (Day 168) there will begin a dayweek-long event.

No Inhibitions Event

Basic Set Up: Gear has been trying to reverse engineer a "truth perfume" that was created by a former inmate. He hasn't managed to get a perfect replica yet, but he keeps whatever else he's managed to make out of it in his lab. He'll be inviting a fellow engineer/inventor, Kohran Li, into his lab and the glass of the containment unit will be accidentally broken and release the gas into the room. Gear's emergency ventilation system will activate and send the gas out, but out into the prison at large. This will occur at night on Day 167 and effects of the gas will start showing by the time people get out of bed in the morning on Day 168.

How This Gas Works: When I say "no inhibition" it's basically that characters lack filters from their brains to their mouths/actions. If they say something, it's honest because they have no reason to lie (or it's a lie just because they felt like lying). If they think of something they wouldn't normally do, hey it might not sound like such a bad idea to do it now. Or if they usually hide certain thoughts or feelings, they don't see a reason to keeping hiding them. Kind of "Well, why not? /shrug" way of taking on the world. Everything sounds like a good idea because they have no reason to think it's bad idea. Consequences? Who cares?

If they have a strong sense of "this is wrong," they probably won't do something. How affected your character is by the gas is up to you, but overall they do what they feel like doing and say what they feel like saying with no care for "Hey, maybe I shouldn't do that."

Characters also will not suddenly decide to do things that never even come to mind for them unless it comes up somehow. So your character who doesn't really care about animals, but doesn't want them dead either, will not suddenly get the idea to go and attempt to kill animals in the pet cafe out of nowhere. If it's not something that would even come to mind for them, it probably won't come to mind now without something prompting the idea in their minds.

This is not "My character should be as OOC as I can make them!" More like "This is how my character would be if they didn't have a reason to hold back or if they didn't have the morals/reservations that they do."

The gas will wear off by the next morning, with the side effects of a slight morning headache and memories not everyone will be so happy to remember.

Is This Event Optional: Yes! Your character does not have to be affected whatsoever. Maybe they just have a very strong will. Maybe they're immune to these kind of things. Maybe they just didn't inhale enough of the gas for it to work on them. Plenty of different ways to get your character out of being affected by this.

Questions: If you have them, ask in the thread here. Should any of them need mod approval I will send the links their way.

Plotting: If you all want to plot for this event with each other, feel free to do so right here in this post. Make a thread of your own for what plans you have or what your character(s) might do without their inhibitions and what could go down that dayweek (Day 168).

/clings to Li! :(

Anri won't attack Yuri unless he seriously provokes her, but provoking her will be a bit easier than normal. She's pretty much at the end of her rope in general, sob, so it may be more -- huge emotional breakdown than actually attacking anyone. Does that make sense? I can't think of any reason why he would make her so angry she'd want to attack him, especially since she almost never gets angry.

Yay poker game! Does it count as strip when they both barely wear clothes to begin with? :D

It makes sense! I just thought, with the voice really prodding her about it... and this IS something Yuri has been wanting to communicate to her, and he IS a Socrates gadfly on his best day, stinging and harassing people into their honest desires. I thought SAIKA might want him dead enough to get past Anri. :|a

Saika doesn't want people dead, though. It wants them injured by its blade! Because that impregnates other people with little babby Saikas. It's a compensation love thing. Saika preys on its carrier's feelings of love, and Anri is too emotionally crippled to be cognizant of such a thing, which is why she's stayed relatively sane. At best, Anri will just be more vocal about what she's going through.

(Saika does really like strong, people. It has a canonical crush on Shizuo. Can Yuri throw a vending machine down several blocks?)
