Firefox 4 / LJ Login
It's apparently in the plans to make a new version of LJ Login that's compatible with Firefox 4, and I don't blame the guy for not working on it right now when Firefox 4 is still in beta -- but if you're using the beta, or would be using the beta if not for the loss of your beloved LJLogin, I uh hacked it a tiny bit. (Editing the version number was easy; figuring out which item to give a background color, now that everything is transparent by default, was trickier.)

Download here! The official version is now out! Here!

Again, this is just for people using the beta, but it should be compatible with Firefox 4's final release... should be. (I'm so glad they added back in the "addon bar", which is where the LJLogin shows up.)

ETA: Scribbld support now also fixed. This is apparently in the works for the official 2.1.5 release, buuuuut until that comes along...

Oh, thank you! I've been beta-ing Firefox 4 for the past several days, and that has made RPing a bit of a hassle.

...but after trying to install the addon, it says it's not compatible with my version, 4.0b12. :\

♥ You're welcome! Ffff I'd linked to a VERY OLD version of the addon that I edited ages ago, before IJ support was offered at all. It's from like... Firefox 2 or something. orz

The first time I installed the add-on, I had also installed Status 4 Evar, because I thought it'd be necessary to make the status bar show up (lol), and for some reason doing that made the icons appear on the right, where they used to. But I haven't been able to replicate that, no matter how many times I uninstall and reinstall both add-ons. So I don't know what was up with that.

WELL the important part is that we have a patch that will help us all keep our sanity until the plugin is properly updated. And since I made it "version 2.1.4.5", you'll be able to automatically overwrite it with 2.1.5 when it does come out.

This is 13% of why I adore you. I'm not using that version yet, but it's still great that you have this ready for people.

♥ Awww. Well it's not perfect! (It totally could be if I could figure out the further container to add extra CSS to. >>;;) But it should hold us all over until the add-on gets a proper update.
