"So I see," Lily said, taking Nadia's hand with a firm shake. She worked almost exclusively with men, at least in the architecture department, so her grip was a bit strong. With a fleeting smile, she withdrew her hand from Nadia's and nodded toward the espresso machine. "You invited me down for that." Liquid energy. The only thing Lily loved more than coffee (and herself) was nicotine. "If the offer is still on the table." She flashed another fleeting smile before turning her attention to the rest of the kitchen and the food on the table.
She was picky about what she ate not in so much as she was a picky eater but that it had to be good, quality food. Anything was game as long as it was well-made. Her coworkers called her a foodie like it was a bad thing.
