[ Selina stepped into the room with the intentions of finding a place to sit down and collect herself. Apparently, he had other plans. Her head snapped around to look at him as he slammed door. She had never been more thankful for a mask on her face, because it felt like it was the one thing that was keeping her together. She wanted to lash out and fight, but at the same time just turn and backflip out the nearest window. ]
I don't apologize to people. [ Namely because she had rarely felt guilty for anything she had done before. She could always justify her actions for her own survival. There was one time where she did feel guilty for screwing someone over, but she didn't even apologize for that. It was too important for her to keep the game up at that point.
The mask hid how her eyebrows narrowed at the questions and she frowned, looking away. This had been just one of the many reasons why she had avoided the entire situation. She didn't want to expose the part of her that he was asking about. The needy and clingy woman who felt unwanted and unneeded by the world, so she built up barriers to keep the world from hurting her. Selina knew that once she let down that final barrier, there was no going back, and it scared her. Dean didn't scare her, but what she wanted to do because of him did.
She finally looked back at him, forcing her breathing to stay steady to try and keep herself together. Even if inside shes felt raw and exposed and she hated it. ] You have plenty of people around you, Dean. [ She cursed mentally how broken she sounded and wanted to break something. Another shaky exhale escaped her as she looked anywhere but him. Why would he need someone as broken and damaged as her around when he had all of those other people? Experience had taught her that he didn't. Apparently that was the wrong answer.
Selina wanted to say more, to fight, but she couldn't get the words out. Not when she was fighting to keep herself in check. Instead she just simply closed her eyes and looked down. She could feel that last wall coming down and it wasn't fair that she was the one coming apart. ]
