001 dream; ᴄᴏᴍғᴏʀᴛ ʏᴏᴜʀ ʜᴇᴀʀᴛ
[The video clicks on to the sound of humming, soft and light, it's a song at its end, falling to silence. Then a drawn breath -- short and sharp before words begin without a proper source for them.]
Wake up, wake up, wake up. I tell you to wake up! [The voice is still light, like a whisper, but enough to rouse, even if it's not quite solid. Not quite real.] Are you awake my sweet ones? My cursed ones? I do regret letting you go -- but my siblings say I must. They've no sense of fun. None. Wouldn't you agree? I think you would. I know you, you see?
But I am being very rude. They say I must be kind. Kind like Mother was kind. For I must be as she now.
.[Then she appears, though it's not all at once, a mist taking form. But a form at least, just fuzzy at the edges. Hard to pin down. But there are definite blond curls, and eyes that are too sharp, blue as skies, blue as seas. Whichever was more comforting to behold in the gentle lull of slumber. Childlike and adult, she's not quite defined in a way that makes sense, but there is something peaceful about her, inviting in the way she holds herself, elusive in the way she seems to look just a little bit beyond what is otherwise seen. She giggles, and it's high, wistful and it echoes oddly.]
We shall have our fun again. I promise it. Dear, dear ones. I am yours as you are mine. Call me whenever you have need of a song, the sweetest songs, and you -- I shall have your songs too! [whatever she means by that. It's echoed by that same airy giggle.] My siblings call me Deliria, and I am your dream keeper. Your weaver. I should hope you enjoyed the dreams I gave you. I worked so hard to make them just as you like it. Tell me you did, please? [she frets, her hand to her chest as she peers forward. A stray curl falls in her face and she blows it away before breaking into a smile.] I am your watcher. For better or ill, when you feel that cold chill come upon, I am now the one to lift you up, as Mother did before me. Just think of me before you go and I will always, always be there for you. [it is her most sincere promise, held in solemn expression before it shifts and is gone again.] This is very exciting!
[There's the noise of footsteps, and in front of the recording steps a young man. He's young, younger than the rest of the System, with sandy-brown curls and an irritated expression. He's not heard all of the recording, but enough, and it's clear he doesn't like what's going on. He glares at the girl, paying no mind to the fact this is being broadcast.]
No, it's not very exciting at all. It's been really, really boring. Why did they even let you do this? I warned Preaenuntius and Entity! I told them you were going to get all weird and gushy again if they let you. But they did anyway and Mother wouldn't have wanted you to freak everyone out. But guess what! Now you have and do you think they'll like it? Why don't you just shut up? Please? Please? Before everyone realises you're a freak.
[The youth takes a breath, jaw set and he stops glaring at her for a moment to turn his attention, briefly to look at the recording device. He has been bored completely out of his mind while their "honoured guests" have been forced to sleep.]
At least they're hungry now. And they mostly want junk food. I suppose that's the one good thing about all this. Go and buy burgers, people. And doughnuts. You won't regret it. Get me chicken nuggets.
[Deliria isn't pleased with him at all.] Nous! I am just doing what they told me too! If I am not allowed to be like that, then you can't do that either! It's not fair! [She draws herself up and she's no bigger than him. Only a little slight thing. Then she pounces on him. Fighting like siblings, after all.]
You were told to be gentle with them, Deliria. Not put them into a near comatose state. Who will help us fight the Serpent if they spend all their time dreaming? [the voice of the Entity is heard suddenly then, and in a moment later it has its hand on Deliria's shoulder.] I would instruct you to apologize to our Honored Guests, but you are far from being sorry.
As such, I 'm apologizing for our little sister and little brother. [ There is a nod to the screen before the Entity picks Deliria up, hauling her over its shoulder.] Praenuntius, grab Nous. Even if you have to drag him off by the ear.
[ Then the Entity moves off screen with Deliria, who begins to shriek high pitched that she was being gentle, beating her fists on Entity's back.]
This is why I wanted neither of these brats to be involved. I swear, were Mother here... well, she'd show that ugly side of hers.
[Hood down and obviously frustrated, Praenuntius storms towards Nous and loops his arm around the boy's neck, trapping him in a headlock and all but yelling his words over Deliria's screaming.] Our... sincerest apologies for these morons. Deliria was meant only to aid you all in the changes by easing you to rest. Her... little coma trick is far from acceptable. She'll be punished. As will this little bastard.
[ooc: time to wake up Mandalus! They shall be waking up feeling strange like they've gone on one hell of a trip or a wild party and a little bit disorientated in the strange places they've woken up (which can be anywhere!). Please hop over here and fill out this for me, darlings~]
