As much as I do enjoy learning, I shall be immensely elated when this week is over. It has been a few years since I experienced a lack of sleep due to the need for studying.

Feels weird being on the other side of the, er, desk here. So looking forward to shorter hours in the summer.

Taking any summer classes?

At least you do not have homework to do or exams to take.

I have not decided yet. I just might given I am still acclimating to the modern state of the courses I am taking. Though also having more free time would be wonderful.

Nope! Just a lot of surveys to do.. something with. I forget. That's what sticky notes are for!

I highly suggest the free time route, but I'm kinda lazy.

Sticky notes do seem to have quite the use! At least you are able to keep things straight.

It would be nice, especially given the strange things that tend to happen here. It would also allow me the proper time to get certain things set up.

Straight 'nough, I guess. Gives me something to do, this job isn't exactly super super demand-y. Well, not all the time.

See? I'm seeing nothing but good reasons to take a breather.

Well we can't have you getting too bored with not enough to do! What do you say to celebrating with me after I finish my exams? It would be something entertaining to look forward to at least.

Then it seems my decision is made. I can concentrate on my employment, spending time with wonderful friends such as yourself, and getting some projects together.

Totally down, of course! Need you ask?

Win-win, I'd say! Good to hear though, 'cause my summer is looking pretty crazy without the sanity you bring.

Well you could have had plans, and it is only polite to ask. My last exam is on Saturday, so Saturday evening perhaps we can celebrate?

I am the bringer of sanity? Now that is a first, but I am more than honored to bring some sanity to your life, my dear.

I could! But, they'd be set aside for celebratory-ness with you any day. Saturday works for me!

Yep, you have no idea. It helps. A lot. I'll clue you in on why some time.

I am more than honored to receive such treatment, but I am certainly relieved that you had no prior plans. We can meet at the trolley. I may even wear my new suit you helped me pick out.

That is something I look forward to being enlightened on.

Girl, my only plans consist of the things I should probably talk about at some point, which I will. Eventually. And super! Works for me!

Talking about things hasn't always been my forte, but I'll try!

Well then, that sounds excellent to me.

We all have something that we do not excel at, so do not worry. Trying is better than not trying at all.

You are most welcome, my dear. Putting a positive outlook on negative things sometimes helps.

Mechanical Engineering. It may be a tad redundant given I studied the topic in my own world, but that was in the 1860s, so there is much I have to learn in the modern courses for it.

Whoa! Go you. I don't have the brain for that. I'm more of an organic scientist. I would offer to help you study if you like, but I'm not sure how much use I'll be short from just quizzing you.

But, 1860s? Is that the time period you came from? So, what do you think of the 21st Century?

The organic sciences are interesting, I must say, but I am not geared towards them. I far more enjoy the construction side of the sciences. I would not be opposed to the help!

I am from 1873, actually. As for the 21st Century, I do rather enjoy it! There is a lot to learn about technology, but it is not overly difficult to pick up on what things are and how they are to be used.

I bet you could probably build things from nothing, yeah? And alright. I could come over tonight if you want and test you on things.

Wow. 1873. What's it like back then? Where in 1873 are you from?

I'm glad to hear it's been easy for you to pick up on things. If our situations were reversed and I was thrown into the 1800s I'm not so sure just how well I'd do. So, consider me impressed.

I certainly can! Come to the library, actually, I'm doing most of my studying there. If only because I can find other resources to study from as well. I'm in the science section.

It was quite a different world than this one. Also from some history of Earth I have read, my world was different than what you may be accustomed to. Vampires and werewolves not only existed in my world, but were known to exist by everyone and they were assimilated into society. We were also a bit more advanced technologically than one would expect of the 1870s. I was in Florence, Italy when I arrived here, but I resided in London. Originally I am from France.

Thank you. It was much like a different world, but I think you would manage to survive. Though the lack of technology may be the most difficult aspect for you such as the gain of technology is the more difficult aspect for me.

Alright, I'll see you there!

Oh, yeah that's...that's pretty different. I mean, I've heard of vampires and werewolves in stories. But never actually met one until I came here. So, how much further ahead were you?

So, what was it like to have them all assimilated into society? And to travel like that? That's pretty amazing.

Oh, thanks for the faith in me. It'd actually probably be rather fun to visit your world. Or at least interesting. Where I come from in New York, there isn't anything like what you mentioned.

We had air travel already. I had been highly interested in the subject, and even built a flying machine that seems a very simplified version of a modern helicopter, only smaller. We did not have airplanes, but we traveled by dirigible over long distances when trains wouldn't suffice.

It sometimes made things convoluted. Vampires tend to like to meddle in politics, and the werewolves, as far as England was concerned, had their own division in the military. Italy was an interesting destination, though it was entirely too religious. Italy was not friendly to the supernatural. The Knights Templars would ensure no rogue werewolves or vampires caused trouble.

Interesting is certainly one word I'd use to describe it. There was hardly ever a dull moment, providing you knew where to look, of course. I have not been to New York, I only read and heard about it in my day. What is it like where you a from?

I understand your complaints, but I cannot say this shames me into reducing the final exam in any way.

I would be most disappointed if you reduced the final exam. On the contrary, I enjoy the challenge.
