I think I might attempt to get a job at the University, if they'll have me. I'd like to have a good reason to get my hands on laboratory supplies.

Could anyone give me a rundown of what I have to expect when it comes to these experiments? What are the ones that have been done before? A complete least would be helpful.

What department are applying to?

The experiments that have happened since my arrival here are: being sent to odd places (not on this world), our ages being messed with, being stuck by some force to another individual, sharing each others dreams, the holidays of this world seem to have their own bizarre affects I was turned into a feline, we were given useless abilities, last month this place dumped a number of experiments on us at once. And then there is the current experiment.

Chemistry and organic chemistry. I could probably teach a variety of other subjects, but those are best for lab work.

And each time it happens without warning? Has anyone tried to take readings or test people while they're changed?

We will be in rival departments, then. The Chemistry Department and the Mechanical Engineering Department seem to have a deep seated resentment of each other. Or so I've been told. Something to do with competition for extraneous funding.

I and a few others received a warning for one event.

There was a woman here a few months ago who tried that. She never came to any conclusions that I was aware of.

I'm no stranger to curriculum competition, but I try to stay out of it and focus on the work.

I think I'll be doing that from here on out, only if people volunteer of course.

A lab? What sort of science do you do?

You name it, I do it. But I'll be going with chemistry and organic chemistry here. I could probably get along in biology and physics if that was what they had open.

That's very interesting! I work in genetics and biochemistry. I typically work on humans, but since arriving here I've switched gears to the dragons.

I'm Gwen, by the way. If you ever need help with anything, especially science-related, let me know!

The dragons. Words I never thought I'd hear. I'm Bruce Banner. Do you have any notes I could look at?

Chemistry, huh? (I read above) I've been looking at how to fill my summer schedule. Chemistry is at the top of the list.

It's my favorite science subject. I blanket in organic and biochem with that obviously, they all come from the same basic principles.

More of the mathematics type myself. But everyone has to take chemistry, and it doesn't hurt to have a solid understanding of other subjects.

You will have a pretty easy time, chemistry uses a lot of math.

Chemistry is one of my passions. I'm perhaps better at biology and physics, but chemistry has been a source of intrigue for me over the years. Sadly I was never formally trained in any of the subjects, it was all self-taught or I learned it from friends.

That's impressive. I was much the same way, and formal education isn't the be-all end-all it wants to be. Still, it's good to know the basics.

Perhaps not, but I would not know. I only received the very barest of a formal education. The subjects I wished to learn were not deemed appropriate for women in the time I am from. But that did not deter me from learning things that I wished to learn.

The castle was filled with tribbles. There was a ghost infestation. Younger duplicate versions of us showed up here. That was one I'd rather not repeat. People went blind/lost their sense of smell or taste or whatnot. People were compelled to tell the truth. There was an incident where people's minds were swapped into other people's bodies - another I really don't want to repeat. There was a gender swap, with people waking up the opposite gender. I was turned into a vampire for awhile, though I think there were a few werewolves and other monsters running about. There was an invasion of cannibalistic creatures.

And that was just the first year here.
