Siri knew that she shouldn’t be quite so overjoyed that everyone had been returned to the appropriate body, but she was. It had broken her heart to watch Obi-Wan struggle with the situation and his borrowed body. Feeling it. She had had more than one reason for losing herself in swimming, the silence of the forest. Being unable to do anything to help her friend had bothered her immensely.

But everything was right again. He was in the proper body, Anakin was in the proper body, and there was no further need for her to have students. So it was with a grin that she made her way down to Obi-Wan’s room, dressed in a simple dark blue sundress and her boots. She knocked lightly, leaning against the doorjamb and waiting for him to answer.

	He continued to follow her lead, glancing at garments now and then as they passed them, ignoring the odd looks the sales staff were giving his current attire. At least in their world, people knew that someone dressed like he was was a Jedi and what that meant. "What would you suggest?" he murmured to Siri as she came to a stop near a rack of clothing. “Something simple,” she told him, thoughtfully studying the clothing on the rack in front of her. It was a selection of button down shirts, in a wide array of colours and patterns. They were reserved, but fairly fashionable. She thought they might suit him, anyway. “These, to start.” Her fingers drifted lightly over the fabric as she considered the choices, before choosing several in a variety of sizes; there wasn’t a brown or tan in the lot. Dark grey pinstripe, a dark blue, and a dark burgundy. But no brown. He was going to have a bit of colour introduced into this new wardrobe of his.

It would probably involve a bit of guesswork on both their parts; the fit on the clothing in the shops was just a bit strange. They could take their time, though. There wasn’t any hurry. “You’ll need to try them on. I’m not sure which size will fit.” Without thinking, she handed the shirts to Obi-Wan, before putting her hands on his shoulders and turning him slightly in the right direction. “There are dressing rooms over there. Would you rather begin that now? Or wait until we’ve gathered you more?”

	He reached out and fingered the unfamiliar fabric. It was almost disorientingly soft. "Perhaps we should start with one shirt and one pair of trousers to determine the fit," he suggested. A scientific approach. He didn't remark on the hands on his shoulders. He was trying not to react to them, despite the slight twist in his stomach they elicited. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

His approach didn’t surprise her at all, and Siri smiled. It was good to have him back. “That’s as sound an approach as any. It will make it simpler to find you clothing. But you’ll still need to try it all on; I noticed a distinct difference in sizing when Padmé took me shopping.”

She turned him a slight different direction then, before removing her hands from his shoulders and returning to stand by his side. “To the trousers, then.”

	"The sizes aren't standard? How do people buy clothing? That doesn't make any sense," Obi-Wan protested, letting her steer him to the trousers. "It's ridiculous." He relaxed slightly when she let go of him. Not that he wanted her to stop touching him per se. It was just so distracting. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

“It’s more that there’s variation between the different companies that craft the clothes,” Siri told him as they reached the trousers. “Sometimes there’s a bit within one company, but it’s not as wide a variation. It also depends on the style.”

She’d paid close attention when Padmé had taken her shopping, to make sure that she wouldn’t have trouble when she was on her own. “They’re mostly standard.” She studied the choices thoughtfully, before choosing a pair of jeans in dark blue denim and a pair of dark grey suit trousers. She thought that he might appreciate the jeans.

	He did prefer the fabric of the jeans as he took them from her. They were rougher and seemed more durable, more hard-wearing. He nodded. "Right. Well, I'll try these to start then." He glanced towards the changing rooms. "Do I just... go in there?" (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Siri nodded, putting her hands on his shoulders once again and steering him gently towards the changing rooms. “Yes. You just choose an alcove, close the door and begin trying everything on. Siri nodded, giving him a nudge towards the changing room before letting her hands fall from his shoulders. No, her attempts to break the habit of making so much physical contact were failing miserably. “I’ll wait for you outside the changing rooms, then.” She draped an arm over a low display of clothing, making herself comfortable while he went to try on clothes.

He nodded, then turned, moving cautiously into the dressing room area to find an empty cubicle and begin the unfamiliar ritual.

It was a little strange, truth be told, to put on clothes that didn't belong to him. He tugged the jeans on and did them up, pulling on the shirt Siri had chosen, then looked at himself in the mirror dubiously. He stepped outside of the change room uncertainly.

"I don't know. Are they supposed to be so... snug?" The fabric had a certain amount of give; he still felt like he could move in them. It was just... he wasn't used to garments that... clung.

	Oh. Well. That was... It was strange, seeing Obi-Wan dressed in something other than Jedi robes. She’d seen him dressed in things other than robes before; he’d had to when he’d been posing as Slam. But that had been... It wasn’t... it was just different. She nodded. “Yes. They’re supposed to be snug; more snug than you’re used to.” (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Yes. Yes it probably would. He went back into the changeroom and tried the other pair of trousers. He wasn't sure about the fit, they were a different fabric and were probably not supposed to be as tight as the jeans. They pinched in a way the jeans didn't. He put his robes back on and brought them out with him, handing them to Siri.

"I think these are too small."

Siri took them from Obi-Wan with a nod. “I think jeans would be better, anyway. Sturdier and made to be worn on a constant basis.” At the very least that was the conclusion she had drawn in her observations while out shopping with Padmé the first time. She led Obi-Wan back to the trousers, hanging up the pair that didn’t fit before returning to the jeans.

She chose several more pairs, in the same size and fit as the first, but different colours of denim; medium blue, black, and a lighter blue. “Did the shirt fit the way you’d prefer?”

	She nodded. “Because it did. That size works, then?” His comfort was the most important factor; he was choosing clothes besides his robes and that was already making him somewhat uncomfortable. “Then we’ll stick with that size.” She looked at him with a smile and a nod. “It really is.” With an armful of jeans, Siri curled a hand around his arm and pulled him back towards the shirts. He would need a few more besides the ones already chosen.

“If you’re wanting to do any swimming you’ll need something for that as well. And undergarments. Those are... probably important.”

	"Mm. If nothing else, I was planning on getting a bunch of them." He considered the rest of her suggestions. "I should like to go swimming. It's good training.
