Who: Bo and Booker
What: Getting some things for their PI office
When: Sunday, May 19
Where: Downtown New Creandi
Rating/Warnings: Possible PG13 for Possible Cursing
Status: Closed/Incomplete

It occurred to Booker that he should probably have gotten to know his new business partner a little better than the occasional text message. Truth be told, he never really liked working with anyone in the past, but in the back of his mind, he was thinking the extra pair of eyes on him and his habits were all the better. Not that he planned on falling into an alcoholic debt crisis all over again.

Elizabeth's arrival had put a halt to anything else he had going on, but once they'd handled their little situation, and he got her going with the necessities, the girl was off on her never ending quest for knowledge. She too had a lot to catch up on, moreso than him. He'd check in here and there but she could do with some independence.

That didn't mean Booker wasn't checking his little phone thing every few minutes as he waited at the corner of the street, near the coffee place he and Bo were set to meet.

As they walked Booker thought on a secretary. He'd have liked to offer the job to Elizabeth but it seemed demeaning. Sitting around in an office all day..no she had much more potential than that, and he wouldn't tie her down. He shook his head. "Nah, not really. You? It's a simple enough job, there's gotta be someone who'll take it."

He wasn't worried about filling the position. It didn't seem that in the span of a hundred or so years there'd been any less of a need for female secretaries. If anything, more women were jumping at the chance for work, which Booker could appreciate. Along with some other major changes in the times.

"Couple hundred years difference between now and where I'm from. Haven't had much of a choice not to check up on things. Being the odd man out hasn't exactly been a thing of mine either." Booker gave a small smirk to her gentle teasing. He was out of his element, but never very long. Before his trip to Columbia he may have shrugged the comment off, or rolled his eyes, not even bothered with work associates. He always worked alone, didn't care much for people or have the patience for them. The city in the sky changed that, and so did Elizabeth. Booker was thankful because it was obvious you needed people, had to trust them sometimes, even if it was a risk. And Bo wasn't so bad. "I'm thinking it'll be smarter to do the furniture first on account that'll have to be delivered. We can carry the office supplies ourselves, so lets get that last sow e don't have to cart it around in the furniture store."

Bo didn't want to saddle someone with the job that she knew wanted to do a little more, which was exactly where she thought Ruby might be, but she was sure that there was someone at the castle that might need a job. It would probably be pretty simple to get word around and to hire someone for it. "Not anyone in particular, but I'm sure there's someone around the castle who got thrown into this mess like us that could use it." Bo shrugged a little bit. She was honestly sure that if they put some word out that someone would crawl out of the woodwork to snatch it up. It probably wouldn't be an extremely hard job, all things considered.

"Once we get it all started up I'm sure once we put word out someone would take it." She said, a bit offhandedly. Hell, maybe if they did that Ruby would take it. Bo wouldn't mind working with another person that she got along with. Booker seemed pretty easy to get along with thus far, but she hadn't really gotten the chance to know him that well yet. She figured they'd work fine together, but he still wasn't Dyson. Or Kenzi. Or Hale.

Bo grinned at him admitting that he had to check up on things, due to the time difference of where he was from. He did pretty well, considering the fact that he wasn't from a time similar to this, as far as Bo was concerned, anyway. "Well, keep on doing your thing because it's working for you." She teased, Bo nodded at the logic he had when it came to furniture versus office supplies first and gave him a nod. "Smart, man. Furniture store it is." If he had been Kenzi, Bo probably would have linked arms or something silly, but she resisted the urge and started to think about the things that were needed in an office. Desk, chair....that sort of thing.

"So, office furniture....a few chairs and a couple desks, right?" She threw out with a bit of a grin, pretty sure that stuff would be easy to decide on.

"I'm sure you're right. There's no short of jobless people coming in this place." He wasn't going to loose any sleep over it. They would be just fine handling the paperwork and whatnot on their own until someone came along. Booker never had a secretary before, much less another PI, so any of this was a luxury and new. Nothing he was too worried about.

Booker was on the road to attempting not to do his regular 'thing' as that usually got him into trouble. But it did always work well for him when it came to getting things done, didn't make a whole lot of friends in the process, but he wasn't as concerned with making friends as he was his job. Elizabeth made him think more on that.

Holding the door open for Bo when they reached the store, a list of needs running in his mind on what they would need. The place smelled new and expensive. All if these futuristic placed were. Booker hoped it wasn't. "And filing cabinets with locks. Lamps, pens, papers, all that stuff."
