Helena wasn't going to argue the point because, well, she had said Claudia could pick anywhere she wanted. So she would just need to suck it up as best as she possibly could. She would find some way to get out of this place without ruining any of her clothing. Well, hopefully. It was going to certainly be a difficult task, but Helena was determined to see it come to pass.
Though the bib comment was the icing on the cake. Helena cast Claudia a bit of a pointed look. "I am not a child, Claudia." Though she could see where a bib may come in handy in this place, but she was determined to get through this on her own merit and ability to eat without making a mess. Though the food itself being a mess proved a challenge, but it was one she was going to meet head on. Taking the menu, she looked it over, wondering what she could possibly choose off the menu. Really, she wasn't H.G. Wells if she didn't rise to a challenge, so she wasn't going to stop that now. Even if Claudia's comment made her cringe inwardly.
"Well I have to say, the ribs do sound marvelous," which wasn't exactly a lie. They did sound good. They were just frightening because they were finger food with sauce smothered all over them. But she would be damned if she didn't rise to this rather obvious challenge, and distraction, that Claudia had presented her with.
